Like i said earlier in this poll... ironwood is definitely the underdog. With blackwood being used much longer for covers and other things. I was hoping for something different that was going to separate us from past knives and make something seriously one of a kind. It's ok. I'm gonna use this knife and patina it like any other knife. I really enjoy my TC Barlow and my ebony lamb foot in ebony. I'm sure I will enjoy this knife!

Pecker Wood!!! Any chance we can add Pecker Wood to the list and extend the poll again and vote for it. You know, the kind of wood that's been pecked by wood peckers until wood peckers can't wood peck anymore. Don't worry. Only the wood peckers are endangered not the pecker wood they leave behind. So Pecker Wood would be a good choice.

Unless Wood Peckers are threatened or on the endangered list it should pass with “flying” colors

Hopefully YES! With the thicker gauge steel GEC is using for the blade we're going to end up with a thick spring. It's going to be a big hunk of metal to move. Traditionally EO notches has precedence. This knifes great grandfather might of been a WWI Navy knife. Many of those knives had EO notches. I think it not only makes the knife easier to use, but will also look better (for this knife).

Come on voter who want some color in their wood. Switch to Ironwood to sweep the poll in the final days. Come on!!!!

Take a risk! You may get some Ironwood that looks like this! Nothing in life is guaranteed and if it's worth it it's worth the risk. Except black wood being well black.
