Came last night about 7:00. What an extraordinary knife! I didn't vote for the matchstriker long pull, or the shield, but somehow it looks "right." I love everything about this knife. Thanks to everyone that made this happen.

Very nice picture capturing its beauty

Got my last 2 from the 86 run, the Blade Forums knife, and gotta say I am loving these. GEC has definitely up'd their game; the fit & finish, walk & talk, pull all are outstanding. The tidioute is beaut, the Northfieild is better with a flush spring at all positions, the BF knives are near perfect specimens with nothing to nitpicick. The darker of the 2 BFs is like a 99 out of 100, perfect pull, sweet walk and talk, flush spring, sharp blade and the knife itself is nicely configured. Please forgive my pics as the light was bad when I got the latest 2 in, and I am no photographer, they do these no justice.

NB
just wanted to clear up ...i did the back label but have nothing to do with the front label...great though it is...who designed it I wonder.
Also I once heard or read somewhere that this guy ate a whole load of salt and nearly rancid leftover ham and actyally made his own spam...
Meako my friend , I want to thank you for the excellent Back Label . You have to feel good for being in on a part of making this a special knife . And just in time for Christmas too .

All you guys who disdain to eat Spam are probably the same kind who would turn up their noses at lutefisk.

It's a Christmas 'delicacy' here. I love fish but that stuff can clear the room, think rotten fish plus ammonia in a jelly slime:eek: Talking of jellied, in London people used to eat jellied Eel a lot, that's good so too is smoked Eel:thumbsup:

This year's Forum Knife is too handsome to be getting dirty with stink-foods :D Congratulations to all who got one, nice item:cool:

Got a picture of mine finally. Since muzzle-loader season is in, my possibles bag was the most handy backdrop I could find. I am liking it so far, for nothing more than opening and closing a few times and wiping it down a bit for the picture. I am liking the darker wood than some have gotten - just my personal preference, they are all gorgeous.

I voted for very little this year as I decided to let the process move forward and I would likely be satisfied with whatever was decided. I'm just not that picky and the size works very well with the single blade. Like last year with the 2018 knife, I'll be taking my 2019 BF knife to show my brother in law when I visit on Christmas. Glad it made it before Christmas. I suspect he'll like it although he is really into stag.

Anyone know how we got an exemption from the mandatory blade etch? Was the order placed before that rule started?
Not sure if it would have been mandatory here with it being a group and not a dealer order but maybe the "Bladeforums" tang stamp satisfied the requirement.

Etches were very recently made mandatory on SFO releases. Standard GEC runs have the regular GEC, Northfield or Tidioute etch.
