I though all GEC dealers remove the knives from tubes and juggle them one handed to verify balance is perfect, especially on three blade knives???

Reading back over that, I read it as the manufacture employee dropped the knives but since my brain finally caught up with my eyes, I see that it was probably meant that the employee of the dealer did the goof. Take his lunch cookies away.I think the inference is that the dealer somehow dropped them, but could be mis-reading it.

For sure but then again, accidents happen and I think we are all guilty of dropping something in our lives. Take me for example, I am 72 and have only dropped one thing. For a small business; Employee = self or family (man I hope it wasn't a spouse or kid)![]()
If it had been my knife that was dropped, I sure would have liked the option of receiving the knife with some discount, say at the dealer's cost. Seems better for both the seller and buyer.

Unless it was dropped with the blades open, and broken, I agree.+1
I agree, it would be nice to be given the option to purchase knife as a "Blem".
I agree as well.+1

Luckily, I did not get one of those notifications but Austin definitely did the right thing. I am pretty sure TPK, like some other dealers, take each knife out of the tube and paper to inspect before shipping out. I doubt that is the action that caused the damage but goes to show the level of effort that Austin and other dealers put into these sales to make sure you don't get a fluke somehow. My GEC 29 coffee house on the floor !
I received this message today :
Unfortunately one of our employees dropped several GEC SFO knives on the floor and I do not feel it is the right thing to send them out. Your order has been refunded. Thank you!
Of course, it was the right thing to do for them, but such a hard luck for me.
is someone in the same situation as me ?
