2019 GEC 29 Humpback/Stockyard Whittler Thread

Not the best photo, but a beautiful knife! Austin & GEC knocked it out of the park!

Got this pair today...and am very pleased!
I captured a really cool side effect of the Coffee House Acrylic in these photos...it acts like fiber optics when light passes through (look at the bottom of the knife). The depth on this acrylic is wonderful

My Coffee House came today too...my first GEC acrylic. Beautiful deep red color. I love it!

My Snakewood and Maple 29s are coming Friday.

Austin you need to market those knives. Call them the incredibly rare Spilled Coffee Knives, and include a photo of your employee lying on the ground with cartoon X's over his eyes and you standing over him with a scowl. They'll be a hit!! :D

Seriously the knives look absolutely amazing!!

At first I was disappointed that there were not enough snakewood's for my reserve but I got a bloodwood instead and I am very happy with it, the wood has a great glow to it that my pics don't show and the walk and talk is the best out of the tube of any of my 29's yet.

Same thing happen to me. I had bonus points and $20 got knocked off. I really feel happy and blessed to receive this same knife. I hope mine looks as goods as yours !

Bit the bullet and snagged myself a bloodwood 29. Don't have anything with those covers, so I figured what the heck

Augie Augie , your pics pushed me over the edge. LOL

If you drop my knife on the floor, I will have to pay you an extra $5. I have bought some killer traditional knives from you in the past. I have never sold or traded a knife in my life. I throw the boxes and tubes in chest of drawers and Star Wars vintage back-packs. I throw my knives in vintage dovetail silverware boxes from Goodwill. I have knives spread all over my spear bed. You only live once . Use them and enjoy them. Knives are tools , toys , and works of art.

Luckily, I did not get one of those notifications but Austin definitely did the right thing. I am pretty sure TPK, like some other dealers, take each knife out of the tube and paper to inspect before shipping out. I doubt that is the action that caused the damage but goes to show the level of effort that Austin and other dealers put into these sales to make sure you don't get a fluke somehow.
Sorry for the bad luck I can imagine that is disappointing. I'm sure you can find another one (let me know if you need help!)

Edit - sorry I see that Austin chimed in :)

Thank you. I did not want to make a bad buzz to the seller. He did the right thing: he sent me a message and gave me an immediate refund. it was just that it was the first SFO I managed to get and was disappointed that something so unusual and unpredictable happened.
It was not my lucky day, that's all
