2019 GEC 29 Humpback/Stockyard Whittler Thread

Brought my Maple to work today to give it a spin. So here it is on the floor of my office. This is the first 29 I've had my hands on. It is a little chunky, but I think it will be a useful everyday tool. This wood is beautiful. I'm very impressed with the alignment of everything. It's all flush no matter what is open or closed.

That is pretty!

I think the curly maples will be end being the nicest if the bunch. Wish I could have grabbed one.

Finally got the one I wanted today...Northfield in red jigged bone!

My Curly Maple SFO also arrived yesterday but after working almost 12 hours it took all I had to open up my coffee house. Plus I figure I’ll have another to open up tonight to start off my 10 day “staycation” lol .

New forum member and first post here. I am so impressed with my new Burnt Sienna 29 (and recent trip to the GEC rendezvous) that I registered just so I could join in.

I can't wait to get my 29 out to my woodshop. I think that sheep foot is going to make a great marking knife. It looks like the width of the blade is just about right to match the kerf on my handsaw when cutting dovetails. The punch will be handy for starting bits etc. A beautiful knife I can't wait to put to work.

Sorry guys, The particular dealer that's been showing up here, in multiple posts and quotes, is not a contributing BF dealer. All the posts and quotes, even those just showing the blade etch, are being moved offline.
I don't want to spend my day moving more, please. Thanks.

You cant even show your knife as a member because it has a blade etch? That covers hundreds of different knife brands. So that goes for Case and ESEE or Bark River or Sherade, Queen?

I understand the no advertising or name dropping, but not being able to show your knife because it has an etch on it sounds a little far imo. You guys are the ones making the call, but wow.
