2019 GEC 29 Humpback/Stockyard Whittler Thread

For those of you that have purchased versions of this pattern in different scales, do the later made versions seem to have stronger springs?
I thought I saw somebody say something like that in a comment somewhere.

I sure must have got a good one in the Burnt Sienna jig bone because if mine was any harder it would pull my fingernails out. I'm not exaggerating because I wear a chipped thumb nail now from opening all the blades on it. Truthfully, I would not want it any harder to pull the blades open.

My bloodwood seems the same as the acrylic, osage. The burnt sienna may have a bit heavier pull.

Maybe you just have low B12?

I don't think I've seen a button yet for this frame.
Did anyone get a button?
No buttons this run. I think we will likely see those provided less frequently moving forward unfortunately.

I've been hemming and hawing over which #29 to get as I only want one and plan to actually use it for whittling. I think I'm sold on the Osage. Nothing too shiny on it and the wood looks aged already and even a bit dirty so I won't be afraid to use it.

My osage orange is blonde and quite beautiful actually. I still plan to use it though.
