It's here  Action of the springs is excellent. Not too hard to open, but snaps open solidly. Both blades are rock solid. The punch has the tiniest bit of play if you grab it and reef on it, i.e. if you're looking for it. Not a bother. I like the blood red bone. Jigging is well done. Its a keeper and I think it will get some pocket time :)

I was pleasantly surprised by all of them!! I thought they'd be "bricks" in the pocket, but they are well proportioned for 3-spring knives. The snaps and fits are good! The finishes are great!!
Now which one to carry??

Does anyone have both a new #29 and a Black Box Winchester #3904 to do a photo comparison? I'm curious just how "the same" these two patterns really are. I know the blades are different, but I'd love to see the two frames next to each other. I, probably foolishly, sold my #3904 a year ago.
I can hook you up if I remember later.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see its been covered.

What setup do you use for taking pictures? Your pictures are always very clear and excellent.
A year 1999 AGFA snapscan50, obsolete (gulp) but wonderful!! Photo-grade scanner, no longer made!!:(

Hah! I didn't even think about using a scanner for taking knife pictures. I was thinking of getting one to scan a huge collection of military crests that my dad had but didn't make the leap to using one for knives.

Just popped the tube and couldn’t be happier ! This Stag exceeded my expectations even though I picked this one from dealer pictures it looks even better in person with nice even slabs on the Pyle and show side with lots of character. She’s a snappy one to

Thank you :)
I’m really happy with this one.
I’m amazed with the craftsmanship from Gec ,there’s no sharp edges all smooth transitions on the bolsters you can run your fingers across and they feel smooth. Amazing with this type of stag I’m sure wasn’t a easy task .
Bravo Gec

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before...why isn't there a PPP etch on the Northfields?

The above Osage PPP Etch looks like a blem.

Someone Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe the Northfields don’t have the PPP etch. This is why you see it on the Osage wood which isn’t a Northfield.
Why does the Osage wood PPP look like a blem when it’s on all the other Tidioute’s also ?

Ya, I guess only the Tidioutes get the PPP.

The Osage etch is reversed
Ha ! Good eye ! I never noticed lol I wonder if there all like that or if mine is special lol .
Edit : Now you got me hoping it’s the only one out there with it reversed or very few if any. My quick search online it appears mine is the only one reversed.
I might have to add this one to my safe queens :D
