2020 GEC #33 Conductor Thread

Wiser BF members said it was a quick fill-in run but I was also really hoping for an acrylic and maybe coping rather than pen. I gravitate towards the ram/sheeps foot and spear blade shapes so this one is hard to get excited about. I’ll still probably get one...but I’ll just be conflicted about it.

I'll buy it from you when you decide to sell it..... :p

I do like the blade combo, and the covers could wind up looking nice. It'd be even better with a wood option added. Might be a while before they make this pattern again.

Yea, this seems like an office knife so I would have thought ebony, dark Micarta, white Bone...something like that.

Not really struck on that bone frankly. If it's an interim or filler I would've imagined Smooth Ivory Bone to be easier (and a lot more interesting too ;)) As it is, my existing 33s are all superior so unless the shield's a stunner I think not.

Could be a re-handling project though :D

Looks like it is going to be "Wavy Rogers" jigging. This knife will feel wonderful in my left hand. I love to rub my thumb across that style jigging. GEC rocks again ! These filler knives will sell out quickly. I love supporting my favorite knife company during hard times. Bring on that Redtail jigged bone GEC#23LL Bullet knife , next.

Can’t say I’m blown away but, could be a lot worse too. Still a nice knife and I’ll buy one to try the pattern. I always wanted one of the whittlers but they’re not commonly seen on the secondary market for obvious reasons.

I was on the fence until I saw that jig pic above. Can certainly go for that detail. I tend to get anxious when the email drops start coming and cave in.
