Thanks! I'm really pleased with what I received.
My favorite thing about Desert Ironwood is it's phenomenal durability, so having some tough, straight-grained scales is perfect. The beautiful contrast is just icing on the cake!
I can't wait to see the stag knives when they start rolling in.

Ah, the Ironwood seems to be the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. Too much variation and a lot of chance. It seems you either get a Great one or a very mediocre one. But that good old Burlap micarta, just throw it in your pocket and enjoy. Tons of depth in these covers I am glad I was able to snag one. Great action, a 6.5 pull and snap.

Put this thing to some good use today. Man is that clip point perfection a joy to use. Food processing is amazing with that thinness, it reminds me of using an opinel in a way. Also had to post another one of her

Well, I just happened to be checking my email when one from KSF came up and for the very first time I was able to get to the site before everything was gone. I actually had several stag 74s to choose from. Needless to say I didn’t take a lot of time making a decision.

I scrolled to the second page and they had a couple of Ironwoods, I managed to snag one for a buddy but missed out on a Stag for myself. Oh well

I got these out of the mailbox this afternoon. Looked them over and took these quick photos. Fortunately I’ve got none of the issues that some others have experienced. The blades are centered and lock up tight with no movement. No major problems with the fit around the shield. No scuffs or scratches. I’m extremely well pleased with the stag. It’s very nice in my opinion. I’ve seen more highly figured Ironwood posted, but this one is the one I got and I’m definitely not complaining.

It’s just too bad there’s too few of these to go around. The little Rattlers are cute but I keep remembering that I don’t use my pemberton as much as I’d like. It sure looked like a utilitarian knife, though.
