Not so much. That is usually the case with larger patterns due to availability. Go look at the 2020 production numbers on their site, and you'll see stag meets or exceeds the production numbers of the other materials. Truth be told, I was told in another conversation they are starting to have issues getting stag. I'm surprised it's taken this long as other knife companies aren't offering it at all.I think lower numbers of stag is a standard practice for GEC, usually half the number of bone.
Very nice Harry, and your pictures do a nice job of showing the color.
Jake you better go buy a lottery ticket, or at least give me some numbers and I’ll buy the tickets! Fantastic!Carried the bocote today and came home to this dark brew!! This thing is flawless!!View attachment 1588674

Hopefully your standby on the stag will come through, I was very surprised when I got notifications that my standby on both the bocote and the jig bone came through. Never got lucky on a standby reserve before. Good luck.I’m on standby for stag…like that’s going to happen. For me, that’s still a better chance then catching a drop.
I like the pattern too, just not sure I’m sold on the lock. Like others have said, this would be a perfect slip joint.
Thanks, I would really like to have a stag in hand to see how it compares to the Bocote. I’m a little more optimistic now!Hopefully your standby on the stag will come through, I was very surprised when I got notifications that my standby on both the bocote and the jig bone came through. Jake, and anyone else that has both, how does the “heft” of the Bocote and the DB compare? Is one noticeably different from the other?Carried the bocote today and came home to this dark brew!! This thing is flawless!!View attachment 1588674
