I have not had good luck with buck knivesBuck lock backs?
Great stag!My 83 Stag arrived today....... It is unexciting, but expertly fitted, and fits the hand very nicely........ It's fullness makes it feel nothing like it's stable mates....... Additionally the knife is tight with no Weebles or Wobbles..... Overall I'm very happy....... And just like I tell my bride if I'd do it all over again, I answer "Certainly".........

I kind of think the Stag 83 is nice. Well matched too. Waiting to see what I will end up with?My 83 Stag arrived today....... Yes !!! GEC makes the 23 , 43 , 72 , 73 , & 74 that are much like the 83 . The 23 & 43 are quite a bit larger . I do not have a current photo that shows them together except for the one that shows them with my Stag photo except for the 23 . If someone really wants to see that photo again , I can do that .Does anyone make a knife like the 83 but a little larger?
If you're a paid member you can host media on the site and use the "media" tool; if not, you can link images hosted elsewhere. For example, if you have a fb, or twitter, or tumblr etc., you could upload the picture there, and link it in your post using the "insert image" tool in the post editor. Can someone tell me how on earth you attach a photo on here? Thanks.
Thanks bleasure! I don't use those sites so I guess I wont be posting pics of my new popcorn stag 83. I got a really nice one though with no issues whatsoever. If you're a paid member you can host media on the site and use the "media" tool; if not, you can link images hosted elsewhere. I'm not seeing anything in a lower left box that says attach files? You may be seeing that as a Gold Member? After you do your writeup go to the lower left box that says "attach files".... click the box.... it should take you to where you have your images...... click on the image you want to post..... repeat this for up to 10 images... once you get the images loaded hit full size on each one.... next post your message.... You should be done....... Note, you can't post anything over 1MB (1000KB)..... Shoot in low resolution, crop or do whatever but don't try anything over 1 MB...... I usually try to post around 500KB to 800KB per image..... Hope this helps....
That site wouldn't let me create an account. Forget it. Thanks for your help, but I've never had such a hurdle posting pics on a forum. Kind of a bummer as I have pics of some really nice knives.Just use The Google to find "free picture hosting for forums".
Well, hm. Put it this way - if you already use or belong to *any* site or service that allows you to post images whatsoever, you can use the insert image tool to link them and do what you're looking to. That's what I did above. If not, I 2nd what JohnDF said. I believe a lot of folks use imgur or flickr for that purpose, if you don't mind signing up somewhere new. Thanks bleasure! I thought I had seen a posting of at least one of your knives in the past . Maybe it might have been a Posting without a photo . I use IMGUR myself . It is pretty simple I think .That site wouldn't let me create an account. Forget it. Thanks for your help, but I've never had such a hurdle posting pics on a forum. I'm pretty much a newbie on this forum and need to weigh the benefits of being a paid member as I explore.
Thanks Harry. I haven't posted a photo on here before. You may have seen them on another forum. I guess I'll look into that. I guess this is the first forum or blog I haven't been able to just drop or attach a photo from my files, camera, or desktop directly.I thought I had seen a posting of at least one of your knives in the past . Sorry you are having difficulty posting pictures stagmeister. I know I would love to see pictures of your knives. For what it’s worth, in my opinion, the benefits around here far out weigh the membership fee. Good luck! That site wouldn't let me create an account. Forget it.
