2021 GEC 83 Tascosa Lock Back

I can generally get reservations as long as I am in the office. That involves always keeping myself logged into the CK site on the reservation page ready to go. Like I said, I get them, but I still feel like I barely make it at times being as fast as possible.
 
I managed to get one reserved also. I think.
How does CK’s work? If it says “standby”, what exactly does that mean? Does it mean I’ll get one when they come in or that I will if there is extras? Is that a sure thing or a maybe?

this is the first time I’ve reserved a knife that is hard to get on his site so I never really paid attention to the verbiage.

These days it seems standby means "doubtful". No fault of Mike's at all, just seems like everyone follows through on their reservation.

My problem isn't being fast enough, it's just pure luck with the website o_O

But I suppose that's half the thrill...or at least that's what I tell myself.

Anyway I'm excited about these! Still curious what bone and micarta we'll get...

I always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when Mike sends his telegram message about reserves, but this time I was actually able to get a reservation, not standby, for the jigged bone and micarta. Stag was gone by the time I got to the reservation page. Seems like it took me 5 minutes to get through to the reservation page due to the site getting hammered.
 
With how fast the CK reservations went, it has me worried this won't be a large enough run.
 
I also was at the right place, right time and only managed a standby on a jigged bone. Not expecting to score since I've been in the standby mode a few times, but you never know :D

I don't remember where I saw it but stag is supposedly a shorter run. Someone called in to reserve one from their dealer of choice and they said there were going to be getting less than they were expecting from GEC.
 
The Telegram app never works for me . . . I literally NEVER get an alert. Then I open the app and look, and oh, there's a message from an hour ago. The only alerts I EVER get from them are something ABOUT Telegram, like how they have 500 million active users. :rolleyes: I must have set up something wrong I guess. Oh, well. But I don't want this one anyway - don't care for GEC lockbacks - so no loss here (unlike other times).
 
Saw the alert come through but decided to sit this one out to not bog the site down for others on the hunt.

My GEC collection has grown a lot the past 2 years so I need to start being more selective. 3.5in is where I draw my limit anything smaller I'll pass on. Unless if a coyote run came out, then I'd be pretty much obligated to grab 1 since I live in AZ.

I do look forward to seeing everyone's photos who is lucky enough to score one though!
