2022 GEC Bayou Trapper #88 Thread

Picked up this ironwood version. Thanks to R Rockcutter for offering it to me at cost. Happy to have it, missed them from the dealers. Really like the grain pattern on it.

I'm of a mind that anyone who receives this pattern and doesn't put it to use is doing themselves a disservice. It is a superb knife that is packed with utility.

I have to admit, the clip on this knife is a brilliant piece of work. It has been my go-to choice for food and such and the Lambsfoot, as you said, has been used for more utilitarian functions (i.e. opening packages and letters, breaking down boxes, etc.). In all frankness, the knife is everything I had hoped it would be and I haven't carried another knife since I got it.
After carrying it for a little while, I agree. Of course most of us are familiar with the utility of a Lambsfoot blade. I discovered the long Turkish Clip is "king of the lunchroom" and slices a sandwich magnificently. I have uses for both blades, but I expect the clip to be the one with more patina.

So Rachel, does this mean you're not going to clip the Gator's toe nails - errrrrrrrrrr peak - errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr take the rat out of Muskrat? You're right though. The clip is a great slicer.
