I really thought I’d prefer the lighter examples from this run, but the darker one on the right is really striking. Excellent gift for your girls!I have been out of town, so I am just getting these. The pull is on the lighter side for sure, however it is a boy's knife, therefore it seems appropriate to me. Anyway these beautiful knives will be my daughters Christmas presents this year. Perfect size for a couple of teenage young ladies if you ask me.

It looks very nice to me. Personally, I wouldn't risk making it not look good, by trying to attain perfection.Took my #14 out the tube again today and noticed one side of the bolster is colored in dark and the other isn’t. Anyone have one like this?
I’ve noticed a few pictures so far that have them filled in dark.
How would y’all suggest me filling in the other side? Black Sharpie?

I think you're right. It would look really nice if the show side was colored in as well but probably not worth the risk of making it look badIt looks very nice to me. Personally, I wouldn't risk making it not look good, by trying to attain perfection.
It will likely darken on its own over time. White bone tends to yellow as it ages.I think you're right. It would look really nice if the show side was colored in as well but probably not worth the risk of making it look bad
Oh I was referring to the TC that's darkened in not the actual bone haha. If you look closely you will notice what I'm talking about. I think the bone looks great on both sides as wellIt will likely darken on its own over time. White bone tends to yellow as it ages.
Haha... sorry about that.. yes I see what you mean now. I have used Brass Black to fix that in the past.Oh I was referring to the TC that's darkened in not the actual bone haha. If you look closely you will notice what I'm talking about. I think the bone looks great on both sides as well

Great pictures. That Chestnut one steals the show for my tastes. I love the look of that wormy and weathered classic wood. Thanks for sharing the group pictures.
These wonderful gifts are the "tops " from Kiteman72, soon to be on display at the 2022 GEC Rendezvous, Lord willing.View attachment 1833384
