#35 Beer and Sausage Bar Tool Knife

Does cutting SFO cut overall volume or just the options that would have been available?
I've been wondering if the SFO halt was to enable them to do more patterns / larger runs / or due to some issues in how they may be conducting their operations in the new AbNormal?

Looks like its a 2 spring not 3

The latter, I believe. Someone posted about speaking to Bill Howard at the unofficial "Rendezvouz picnic 2020" and he apparently confirmed that their stepping back from SFOs was ultimately temporary.

yea, the news seemed to be met with some sadness and I’m too new around here to understand the significance of it. I assumed it just meant limited options.

Really? Seems like its pretty easy to find retail sellers with 06s, 12s, 38s, 62s, 81s, 97s, some still with 23s, and even my beloved 15s. Even the remaining 15s have a fault to many, the B&C...thus all the discussion on how to remove. Current situation surrounding the B&SK is completely different.
Asked and answered, refer to post 471.

It seems likely that the Covid shutdown guided this reaction to halt SFOs. Could they supply x will y still be in business? Much uncertainty. This uncertainty may also influence the current buy it whatever it is frenzy, factor in a rather unpleasant possible Vulturism that wonders if GEC may survive...yet bigger prices/prizes

Lol, I italicized avarice in the quote, but didn't realize the whole quote was then italicized!

Best to use bold to draw attention to something specific in a quote. ;)

That looks like the inside of the 29... think that's 3 springs if I'm seeing it correctly.

Looks like three springs to me, too. Pretty slim spring for the comb, too, by the looks of it.

Maybe it IS two springs, they're going to hinge that Comb to the OUTSIDE of the frame for yet more controversy :D

I'm not going to play that game :) I'll be happy to adopt a few unwanted specimens here and there if they tickle my fancy and are at a fair point, but chasing the elusive unicorns no longer has my interest. Fun to watch the game from the bleacher seats though.

All these people posting about FOMO and this being the next BSK and so forth. They don’t seem to realise that those of us that got in on the first run of beerscouts weren’t just lucky we were chosen

Just calm down and don’t fight it.

Im only seeing one center scale

I’m guessing you meant liner, not scale, but that’s the center spring. No middle liners separating the blades/springs. I think those are only necessary if you have two springs with blades that pivot on the same end.

Does that mean the comb will be for LIGHT DUTY? ;)

Yes. Clearly not meant for burly lumberjack beards. :D

Lol, silly. This isn't the next BSK, this IS the 1st Beer and Sausage Knife. Why would anyone want beer knife you can't eat sausage with? Keep your gimmick "Scout" knife that's what all the Hipsters are carrying thus the over valued price. SMH. I will go with an original. ;)

Looks like three springs to me as well, with no center liners. My 81 Bull Moose both have center liners and opposite-opening blades, though, so I guess that can go either way, probably depending on some factor that I don't know.
