6/27: www.buckknives.com new look and feel

I was able to see my account information. I haven't been able to for most of the day today. When I click on the icon, it takes me to the main page. If I copy the link I get this, but it still takes me to the main page:


As far as I can tell, the other areas are working. I must be logged in because I am getting Pro pricing. I am using Chrome with ad blocker disabled....

[Edit:] I enabled third party cookies for the site to no avail; it did not help. When I right click on the person icon and open link in "Incognito" window it works. (I never use incognito on my computer....)

[Edit2:] When I look at prices in regular mode it lists Pro prices. When I put it in my cart, it does not give me the discount. When I do this in incognito mode, the cart does give me the Pro discount. ADDITIONALLY, I got the email to change my password to get my Pro discount, but it took me to the site above. When I tried it in incognito, it took me to the correct site, but would not work.

I was able to create a new account and log in without a problem. No order history.

General comment: the knife specs don’t list a locking mechanism, and the few knives I’ve looked at don’t have it in the product description. I don’t know about anybody else, but I have my favorite locks, locks I’ll use begrudgingly, and locks that will stop me from buying. Pictures don’t always make it clear, and I can’t remember every detail of every knife I’ve ever looked up because my memory is shit, and I really don’t want to have to go to a retailer site to look it up again. I think it’s a kind of important item that should be listed with the rest of the specs. Actually, there’s a lot of info that was available on the old site that I’m not seeing in the specs in the new site. Blade length, handle length, just to name a few more. Hopefully this kind of stuff will get added back in.

Otherwise I’m finding my way around ok.

Edit: Oops, blade length is in there. Evidently my reading comprehension is right up there with my memory.

Got an email to change my password for Pro access.

When I tried to do that I get this error;

I got an email to change password but the link doesn't go to login page. In fact, I can't access login. I see Pro prices on site but not in cart.
 
I got the email too but I'm going to wait this out. I'm not planning to buy anything anytime soon so I will hold off creating a new password until the smoke settles. If the next BOTM is something that I must have, I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I am having the same issue. However, if I try in incognito mode, it will show the Pro price in my cart. And I can access the login page. (I am using Chrome.)

Im sorry your having issues setting up an account. Not all of the Pro accounts merged over. Please try and set up a new pro account. If you are still having trouble please send me a message and I will get it setup with you
 
I couldn’t find the 105 Pathfinder on the website just now. Wondering if it’s discontinued or website issue?
 
I’m gonna sit back for a day or two and then try. I just ain’t up to dealing with any more frustration today. It was a tough one and hot !
 
We do describe the locking mechanism in the product description such as a liner lock or frame lock. You should be able to find a little more specs if you open up "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS"
Hmmm … I’m not seeing it. Here’s what I get for the 239 Infusion Product Specifications (nice looking piece, btw - it just got added to the list!), which seems to be the same format for all knives. This one does happen to mention the liner lock in the Product Description, but not all knives do. It might be just me, but I’d find it very helpful to see lock type and handle length in the product specs. Yes, I know, I’m needy. 😁

So when I used Chrome, I couldn't go to the login page. The Pro prices were displayed, but not in the cart. So then I logged in using Silk, which is the default browser for the Amazon Fire tablet. Everything worked. When I went back to Chrome, everything works now. Can't explain why, but it appears to work now.
