That 0095 is all 100% badassery, so is the 0909, and the 0804.
There's a Hawk Lock Kershaw...
yup! i will be buying that one as well.
the kershaw RAM is still the best flipper ive ever used...it even beats out my $485 southard midtech. im really excited to see the hawk lock brought back, hopefully it will flip as well as the ram. I just hope they put the hock lock in some higher end American made knives
g&g hawk live like 30 miles away from me and grant comes in an eats at our family restaurant so i always support them when i can. they are both very nice people and just incredible designers, i really want to buy their new OTF design which has absolutly ZERO blade play. every other OTF ive seen has some blade play but their "Deadlock" is solid as a rock. I really hope ZT does a collaboration with them again but for the OTF deadlock design. The mechanism is just too good for it to be a custom only design, something this good needs to be enjoyed by as many people as possible, i really hope ZT picks up the design, it would give them a leg up over microtech thats for sure
In response to the few people who wondered why I am tired of ball bearing pivots: Zt use to be about tough knives not pretty flippers. I use to love my 0562 but everytime I use it outside around dust or dirt, I get a gritty feeling in the pivot. My other knives with washes do not get like that nearly as fast. To me makes the knife feel prissy. Like all it was meant for was to flip and close and cut paper. What happens to Zt being all about military grade knives. Now they just give us affordable factory produced knives based on high end customs. Zt is not making user knives anymore.
Ummmmmmmm..... notice anything?

In the video from Late Boy Scout at SHOT, it has a wave... OR does the wave get covered when the blade is open?
0456: Funny little bugger. I'm sure this one will go over well, as people love the smaller designs. Kind of sad personally that the new "small knife" had to be a Sinkevich design, since he has so many fantastic bigger knives. A ZT Poluchetkiy would be wild.
Since we're discussing and criticizing new ZT's, what do you think about this:

This has been bugging me since the first moment I saw this knife. Is it really so freaking hard to plug this hole?
They look nice. However, if you want thumb studs. Boom...there are none. This is a killer lineup. It's not going to please everyone but there's one knife in there for everyone.
Talk about diversity.
Miss big ass knives? Boom, 0804cf
Miss overbuilt knives with solid pivots and g10 handles? Boom, 0909
Want ridiculously lightweight? Boom, 450cf
Want fancy 3d machining? Boom, 0456
Like the sterile designs from last year? Boom, 0220
Love in house designs? Boom, 0095bw
Commentary for each model:

0804CF: A very nice, straightforward Rexford design. Not a huge fan of the monochromatic offerings this year, but the clip looks well executed and the CF presentation scale keeps the weight to a very impressive 5.1 oz. This one is a likely buy for me.
0450CF: I like the original better, but making the lockside DLC coated matches nicely with the CF scale. Had they done a CF scale on the original 0450, it would be way too much like the 0452CF.
0220: My least favorite of the bunch so far. Very cool to see ZT working with Anso, but I'm surprised they used an entirely new design, whereas most ZT collaborations are basically production versions of customs. Not sure how I feel about the inlaid emblem or the use of so many colors (blue, orange, black). Anso has some nice smaller designs, surprised they went with a 3.5" blade.
0909: Kind of a huge disappointment for me actually. Big Les George fan, and already own a Talos. Seeing it turned into a linerlock flipper is basically the last thing I wanted. That said, I'm sure this one will be a hit with the people who like the old-school ZT's. Should be pretty beastly, especially at 7.5 oz.
0095BW: Ugh, wish this was the limited edition model for the Russian market and the stonewash/satin was the production model. I love this design, but monochromatic blackwashes do not do it for me. They look kind of cheap to me. Otherwise this knife is an A+ for me.
YMMV

They use super cool carbon fiber and CTS-204P blade and than fuck up like this? I just don't get it.

That's one of the main reasons I prefer a thumb hole, nail nick, or flipper over a thumb stud. They can also be a bother when sharpening. You can "plug the hole", there will more than likely be a filler tab available. Patience.
The problem with many thumbstuds, is that they get in the way when the cutting is being done down closer to the handle. They also have the potential snag on a pocket when the knife is being pulled. Not a big deal that there are no thumbstuds IMO.
