This is a keeper. Digging the Cocobolo. Great pattern. Poor indoor light here. Can’t wait for some sunlight shots.

John, we rebounded from the sub attic temps and just hit double digits today, a balmy 10° above, but the wind offset the warmer temps by blowing at a steady 20-25mph with 40mph gustsNice Paul, what temperatures are you all seeing, been single digit's here which is unusual for us.
I certainly do agree with youBeen holding out for the 2 blade Northfields and the first one showed up today, really like the jigging, very much like gunstock checkering as Tstaut stated. Pulls are great, fit and finish excellent, no problem at all on the main blade nail nick, the pen is not in the way at all. I really like the length of the pen, very usable length.
One of the pictures shows it with a vintage Cattaraugus.

Actually, yes. Mine is exactly as you describe, except its about 1/8".Quite obtuse compared to the pile side, but it will still pop hairs at the very tip.Is anyone else noticing that whoever sharpened these at the factory left the ~1/4" of the edge near the tip of the blade on the show side at a VERY obtuse angle?
Almost like they angled back sharply as they were finishing their sharpening pass on that side of the blade. The rest of the edge is nice and even aside from this little spot at the tip, just on the show side. It's quite noticeable to me.
My Black Micarta and both of the Desert Ironwoods I picked up all have this dull spot at the tip to varying degrees. I just spent an hour and a half with the diamond rods on my sharpmaker getting that spot to a proper angle and that was just one of them. SUPER annoying to fix and none of my other GECs have this issue. But if my small sample size of 3 had this obtuse tip then I bet most of them have it.
Don't get me wrong, everything else about this run is superb - I just wish they were a little more careful putting the edge on these.
I tried to resist but couldnt. LOL just placed a order for a white bone single because of your posts lately.Adding some "Heat" to my trucks gas tank, needed the #78 to dispense with the little circular foil under the cap

Does the white bone age well or has anyone tried enhancing it a bit for an older look? Strong tea stain maybe or just natural use?
Thanks. Natural aging it is then.If it's anything like "Smooth Ivory Bone" (which it is) it should age really well, especially with use. I tried a tea stain on a TC in Smooth Ivory Bone and it looked much MUCH worse than the natural aging.
Sure hope the one I ordered looks as good as yours!I absolutely love this pattern in a single blade. After cutting up some apple figured I'd encourage the impending patina a bit, left it in for 10 minutes or so and took picture.

Just sent you a PM, sir.Can anyone fill me in on the SMKW SFO Peach Seed single? It isn't on their site yet and I can't seem to find any info on preorder or availability through them. Anyone have experience with SMKW GEC SFO's?
