Mail comes late in Atlanta. SMKW SFO is a looker.

That's a beauty for sure. I hemmed and hawed over this SFO or the cocobolo but went wood. If I'd seen these photos I'd probably have gone peach seed!

I just worked out a trade with my extra Desert Ironwood to get a Natural Linen Micarta CK SFO which I missed the Early Reserve on. I am so glad I picked up an extra one of those for trade bait.

So from this run i'm going to end up with a Desert Ironwood, Red Micarta, Natural Micarta, and finally a single blade Ebony I have on reserve.

I am debating on picking up the Tortoise Shell from Kifer but i'm kind of on the fence how I feel about acrylic covers.

Nice work! I am also looking for one of the CK SFO models and have even offered to trade my KSF SFO in blue camel bone for it, but no takers as of yet. Hopefully someone with an extra CK SFO would prefer one of the blue camel bone models.

Are you gents posting trade ads in the exchange?

I have posted an ad in both the trade/wanted to buy areas of the exchange as I am willing to trade and/or buy. Still no luck so far.

Thanks. Does anyone know if Kifer even has any of the acrylic SFO’s left?

The website is very vague with info. I emailed them to check. I can post the info if I get a response.

I do not, only because I am not chasing that particular model. I don't care much for acrylic covers.

Sorry, this isn't the place to offer to buy or trade. Thanks!

I've had these two since Monday. I'm under the weather with a tooth problem but wanted to get a quick shot up for the thread.(sorry about the phone in the reflection) I've come to like GEC's jigged bone covers the best. It's hard for me to pick a favorite out of these 2, as much as I like peach seed jigging, the Northfield takes the win for me. It was interesting to me the popularity of the 2 micarta SFO options over the peach seed. Me personally there are so many options I like between bone and wood there is no need to think about new school handle covers. Just leaves more of the jigged bone for me :)

Just received an email regarding my Appaloosa Bone!
Do you think there will be a little time to view the Stags when they come out or do you think it will be a mad dash?

Me too. I am excited to receive my Appaloosa bone. I can't believe I pre-ordered it almost 4 months ago.

There's a pic of the stag version up on GEC's Instagram, stating they ship this week. Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville I'm sure it will be a mad dash. You'd better have your ear to the ground and a lightning trigger finger to score one!

The website is under renovation, so not much info there. I emailed them on the 6th and was able to put in an ER. They should be arriving at Kifer tomorrow or so and then they will ship.

I am not a huge fan of acrylic but I thought this one looked fantastic so I ordered. Tortoise shell or the pheasant feather are a couple that I enjoy. Acrylics will never be a large part of my collection but I want to have a few.

New knife day (again - sorry honey ). I like the Peach seed. In comparing these 2, I noticed the short nick on the Cocobolo makes it a little more pinchable and easy to open. The long pull sits further back, so there’s a little less real estate to grab, along with a little less leverage. It is still pinchable, but I was reaching for the nick on this one.

I like the jigging and the long pull for looks. I think I like the Tidioute configuration a little better for every day use. But that swedge!

My reserved Ebony should be in route in A day or two. A SFO peachseed and red linen micarta should be here anyday .
Oh and a Northfield jigged bone in route.
This should be a great 78 week lol .
