Just received this beauty. It's very gloomy here today so the pictures are not that good. I will get some more for sure in the sunshine. The mark side is a nice solid yellow with a little light spot near the end and some light black streaks near the bolster. The pile side is nice and near solid color the shadows are really messing with pics. It does have a few black marks as you can see. I'm very happy with this knife, its gorgeous!

Thank you! We've had so much rain this winter, dang. I plow and remove snow so I've had a lot of time to do other things right now. I hope for a cold, snowy, and sunny February :o

Great one Shock. Any imperfections I consider sunspots.

Thanks Joe. That's a good way to look at it. I don't mind them either. These are production knives and the quality always exceeds my expectations. I'll also add the shield transition to the bone is real nice. They did a real good job of finishing work around the shield. It is set in there perfect.

Shock_, that is a beauty! You've got your own portable sunshine, right there! :)

Great looking yellow rose shock! As far as the snow, hope you get it, but please keep it away from the East coast, ok?

Thank you! It sure is bright. I put it next to all my other GEC's and it sure does stand out.

Thank you. I knew that no body else would want the same thing. Lol. I'll keep thoughts of the east coast out of my snow dance ;)

Production pics of the Northfield jig bone are up. Look great so far!

Just recieved in the mail a new 74 Stallion in ebony. I love the knife and the clip blade, its pinchable for me with one hand! Has a very nice snap and pull, is made well just like every other GEC i have bought and is total quality for the price and shouldnt gripe at all, but....im no expert in ebony wood but when i think of ebony i think of a black wood knife which is classy and classic, not a sort of black wood with greyish streaks knife with yellowish spots (which look like wood putty).
Like i stated i love the knife and its construction but the handles should be black if its ebony wood. Ill not send it back cause it is what it is but it will get a full vinegar treatment and will be for totally rough use if i keep it or i may give it away not sure yet. Just dissapointed because i like ebony and as far as im concerned this aint ebony. Ill be more careful next time i order ebony. Anyway i love the knife and i wanted to contribute to the thread and somebody might think its attractive! Im still waiting on my cocobolo version for my birthday the 30th (fingers crossed)!
