crummy stamping

LOL! Go M. 8+RIbch! :D

Interesting reading for sure.
I respect the fact that everyone has a right to their opinion even if I disagree.

The only thing that I can add is that I have dealt with both Mick Strider and Dave Stark (Steel Addiction) and they have never let me down and in fact they both have gone out of their way to ensure I was satisfied with there product and services on more than one occassion.

Both are great guys in my book.

 Wow... that post just convinced me never to waste my money on a strider product. I would expect the first response from a represenative of Strider concerning this thread to be a little more apologetic. Although I see no apology for piss poor quality control at all. Instead I see the QC defects being blamed on the fact that the knife wasn't bought from a strider dealer... These are obvious QC issues that merit a profuse apology from the company as well as a new knife. Not a "Hey its not our fault, but I guess we'll fix it since deep down in my heart I know that our QC guy either missed these defects or plain doesn't care."

Why do I see so many posts on this forum regarding Strider quality control?

Two years ago the anti -Strider Jihadists were trying to flame the business for not coming up to their standards of fit and finish - and comparing them to the CRK Sebenza.

They also expected a butt - kissing just like they get from all the other mall stores who sell them hard core field gear, like Old Navy or American Eagle. They don't understand a straight up answer is NORMAL in the service because you don't have time for feelings and self esteem.

It's not a Strider thing. It's the arrogant American consumer thing - expecting to be placated and catered to, taught by a group of nuturing females who always get their way with salespeople by the tactic of bitching.
Adult men and women in the service soon learn not to do that, and they don't hang out here much because of it.

I read it more like Strider charging a premium while not having the QC standards of Goodwill Industries.

That's rich. A defender of the official knife of the mall ninjas, a company fronted by a near total fraud, calling the critics of said ninja supplier a bunch of wannabes.

They don't understand a straight up answer is NORMAL in the service because you don't have time for feelings and self esteem.

I was in the service. If I ordered a guy to do a job, say some intricate maintenance of a mission critical system, and not only did he visibly not do a professional job, but invited me to lick his sack when called on it, he'd be on report experiencing a definite hit to his self-esteem. No time for feelings or self-esteem in the service? No appetite for half-assed work and bullshit attitudes either.

In his rather murky and uneventful tour of the US Army, Mick must have missed a lot of lessons on attention to detail.

So, people who expect to get what they pay for are spoiled and noisy bitches? You don't happen to work for Microsoft or Dell do you?

The customer is always right, especially when you sell him a shit sandwhich at filet mignon prices and tell him to eat it with gratitude and he rightfully refuses.

Adult men and women in the service soon learn not to do that, and they don't hang out here much because of it.

Professionals in the service expect individual and team excellence and don't tolerate excuse mongering dirtbags. It's not surprising when said dirtbags form their own cliques as far from criticism as they can manage.

Go join them already.

Waffles. For sure. Pancakes are totally over-rated and just sit like a rock in your tummy.

oh wait........wrong thread......... they all look so much alike.

Sorry!

Hey Michelle,
Were you able to find that specific link to Mick's side of the story as far as his Military career yet? TIA

thanks,

oil

Boats, great response, and right on! Not everyone with military experience had a good time at it, but you can always tell the ones who blame "someone else" for their troubles.

Boats, I was going to say something along the lines of what you so eloquently wrote. I won't bother because you said it about as good as one can

Ahh. The old LEEK my SAK thread.

Wasn't it determined that this was a cosmetic second that was given away, and then turned up on the secondary market? I am not going to re-read 42 pages of this - again - but thats my recollection of what happened two years ago.

I tell you what, that knife is worth a small fortune now...

Be sure to catch the part where he fails to correct all of his various lies about combat service and omits the admissions he was forced to make in the TAG lawsuit.

Good times, especially the one where the spinal invalid was going to be sentenced to a year in Somalia, rather than five in the fed penal system.:jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit:

Thanks Michelle. It was a very interesting read. My question would be when in the timeline that Mick gives did he:
Mick Strider said:
I have charged a gunman with a knife.

Not from behind! Not a drop of sneakiness.

And in the service of the US gov.

And what combat exactly is Mick refering to in the quote below? I understand Duane has combat experience but Mick seems to be saying he's been in combat also? By the BL thread that was posted yesterday it would seem that when Mick thought he was going to be deployed they renegged on him.

Mick Strider said:
Both myself and my partner Duane, are combat vets. REAL combat vets. Whatever that may mean, I guarantee we qualify.

thanks,

oil

Doh, I retyped a couple of times.

Miss Michelle,

Do You like the Blueberry Syrup or the Boysenberry Syrup at I-Hop.

I'm always conflicted about the choice.

Mr. Jim.... despite what people may think, I am a bit of a traditionalist.

Old fashioned maple allll the way.....................

BUT... if we are talking IHOP... then I gotta go with the "International" pancakes which are actually more like crepes... the one with the orange marmelade makes me a VERY happy girl. :D
