A knife you got that blew you away...WAY better than expected? I just got one...

My new XM-24 Spear point.
That heavy 4" blade comes flying out with authority and lockup is like a bank vault and super crisp. Flipping action on this specimen is the best I've ever felt washers; zero blade play and effortless no-wrist action.
I Love it!!!

I couldn't leave well enough alone though, and had to make a new Ti scale for it... Had to ditch the G10. Now its more me.:D

Probably the Cold Steel Rajah 2.
I expected it to be funny, and it actually turned out to be useful. :)
(it is kind of funny too though ;) )

My dad has one I gave him, and he often carries it when we go to the woods in order to have knife with a large blade that doesn't take up too much space.

That is a badass Hinderer! Love the scale!

Maybe mine is just the perfect set of tolerances but I have literally none of the complaints you have. Every edge is rounded or chamfered. If you mean no lock bar stop, then correct. I don't see that as an issue. I know it's nylon washers but they are as smooth as any PB washers I've used. Maybe not quite as light but I feel no grit or grumble when opening the blade, fast or slow. The ano has been no better or worse than any other Ti scale from a looks or a wear point of view. The tool is a bit blah but there are other simple options. My lockup is right 55-60% and has been that way since day 1. If it's a problem I'll further down the road then I'll work on it then. My detent is not like that. I can't shake the blade out no matter how hard I shake. Again, maybe I just hit the tolerance lotto but mine hasn't shown the problems you state.

Fit and finish of Boker Exskelibur I is somewhat hit or miss. I purchased two, and one was perfect, the other was not so.
But that one was still alright, just the lock bar was little stiff for my taste.
Non-rounded edges sound weird to me because edges of my knives are also either rounded or chamfered nicely.

I didn't expect to like the ZT 0450 as much as I do, kinda blew me away really.

As promised, here are pictures of my WE606. I love this knife! Pardon the smudges on the blade but I LOVE using this knife!

I had forgotten almost all about this knife until I just found it in a jacket I haven't worn for 10 months. Early last year I traded for a Kizer Ki405 just kind of out of curiosity of the model, it looked nice and would make my first S35VN Kizer, so I figured with how much I loved my first Kizer it would be worth a shot. I got the knife and was kinda impressed, nothing major, until I decided to tinker a little. Bent the lock in a little to increase the detent, polished the washers and cleaned the internals of factory lube, but my own lube in, and sharpened the blade. The difference was night and day. The flipping action went from decent to phenomenal, actually the best washer knife I have ever seen (some customs included). The knife is perfect using the flipper or studs. The handle milling and contouring makes it fit my hands great, with no slip, but not overly aggressive. It also has a tip up clip position!

For being one of the early Kizer models, it showed they weren't messing around. This knife may be one of the best in their lineup, and it is under $100 most places. Pretty sexy looking, too, and this is coming from a guy with an admitted irrational hatred of the color red.

This is my first Emerson. Production Emerson's were hard to open (to me) so I avoided them, but this custom Mini-CQC-7, which I received in the mail today (seller's photos) far exceeded my expectations. Smooth as butter and sharp as a razor. I cannot stop fondling it.

Awesome Scrim!!!
How are you liking it brother???
Joe

Joe, You were right. I would't change a thing (well maybe one very small thing)...on either knife. The way they did the thumb relief area of the lockbar, to disengage it, it's really nice. Makes for a super comfortable knife to open and close. Supremely smooth & snappy action, like the 606...both dialed in perfectly. And the blade on the 603 came sharp, but I felt it could use a just a little more. So I did about 5 really light & careful, alternating passes per side, just on my Sharpmakers Ultra Fine ceramic rods (didn't even get it close the the Edge Pro) and it turned quickly into a an absolute razor blade. I do like the pocket clips functionality a little more on the 603 vs the 606. Would love a little more flex out of the 606 clip. The 603 clip has much more give/flex to it, which make's it a little easier to get in & out of pocket. But all in all, WE hit these both...out of the park. The math---> These 2 WE's=WOW+WOW.
The other interesting thing I noticed is that I've gotten several comments, from non knife folks, as I did about my CKF Deception 1. Friends that have seen both (603 & Deception) have said things like, "what a beautiful knife...it looks like a knife from the future!" I have to agree. Both designs are kind of "futuristic" looking, but in totally different ways, to my eye anyway.

Absolutely, I have a 601, 604 and 606 and now I'm eager to see what they bring to the table next. I'd love a 3" blade from them...
