A Midsummer Night's Snark

My condolences, BeeKay.

I am going to a funeral today for a family friend that died of cancer last week. His wife was the Matron of Honor for my wife when we got married three years ago. They fought the cancer for two long, and sometimes painful, years so in a way it was a relief for both of them. We will miss him as well. Take the time you need to grieve and we'll try to take up the slack in you absence.

No guaranties in this life for sure. Bad things happen to good people. :thumbdn:

I have that 'want a new knife bug' and there are many nicely priced ones on the exchange. Only problem is my crappy exchange rate :thumbdn:

Early this morning, my best friend of nearly 20 years passed away. He was my brother. I loved that man more than life. We saw some of the best times of our lives together, but also some of the darkest. He stuck by me through everything and taught me so much. That's the reason I drove all that way last night, to see him one last time and to say goodbye. I missed seeing him by mere hours. Cancer had riddled his body, he was in so much pain. But now my brother Al is with his beautiful dog Tyson and he feels no more pain. I'm so glad that he's not in any pain anymore but a part of me died today..

I might be of the air for a bit folks. I'll come see you all soon. Love you all, from Springy..

Sorry to bring the mood down..

Sorry for your loss BeeKay. I've lost several friends recently and it hurts something awful. You'll be in my prayers.

Doc

Just catching up on snark. Sorry for all of you guys mourning the loss of friends and family.

Came in to snark, but instead I send out tons of nordic smoke and prayers to all you who have lost someone you love and cherrish..
All my hopes and wishes are with you in this time of sorrow....

Condolences Springy.

I seem to have a wasp/ hornet problem. They recently found a hole in the skirting and have apparently made a home under my trailer home. I sprayed the area with temp and that did nothing. We tried some spray in a can, but that only gets the ones you hit with it. Now they are getting inside somewhere. I just killed like 10 of them. Any suggestions? Once I get a handle on them I'll be taking care of the hole in the skirting and I just made a few traps and set them outside.

Yikes! I'd call a service if they've made that many inroads.

If you burn down the whole trailer that should get most of them.

I know we Beckerheads like to get our hands dirty, but done jobs are best left to the Pros.
Call someone and get it done once and for all. The sting to the wallet will be much less than that of an emergency room bill of you get swarmed, then you Still will pay for the Pros.

Sorry for the poor taste in puns.

Just saw a SanMai BK11 on the bay those of you with more available cash than me.

Oh, and AC, do something serious about those wasps sooner rather than later. We once lived in a house where they had gotten in the walls and we would kill in the neighborhood of 10 a day. Only upside was that it cured me of being overly freaked out about wasps.

And less sense, IMO. Dagger, indeed....NOT! Looked through the site, until I got to the Camillus Pilot's knife for WAY too many clams - looks like most stuff (at least the sharp stuff) is more than a little bit overpriced. But what do I know? I'm a user, not a collector. Pretty looking CSM, tho....I'd still get a second 12 as a user before I pay that much for something I'd be afraid to get dirty....

apparently my new barn kittens are Sith in training.
5 weeks old, barely weaned, still living in a cage while getting used to being separated from momma cat.
When I got home tonight I found 2 1/2 dead rats within 15 feet of the cage - and all 3 kittens still inside.....

gotta be Sith to be able to kill from afar like that!

Just remember to take it off when using your hands for stuff with repetitive movements. It will give you inaccurate readings on your steps.

Speaking of daggers.... I thought I saw your name a little while ago getting one off the exchange :D I was checking out the price when I saw it was already taken.

Who, me? Musta been some other guy.

I REALLY need to stay off the exchange....or just have a little more restraint......

....who am I kidding - I have no restraint, that's why I can't stay off the exchange.
