A Midsummer Night's Snark

I had to buy my own car and pay for the insurance, gas, and maintenance myself and if I ever have kids I'll make them do the same. I drive old beaters as it is so they'll probably have a newer car than me. But by then my '84 K5 will be considered a classic.

I'll sell you a rifle for $2500...

I'm lucky, my parents payed for my truck, but it was a 25 year old dodge from a family friend for 1500. Insurance on me is extremely cheap because I was grandfathered into my dad's plan. Gas I pay for most of the time, but my parents do help me out since the only place I go is school and home

How close to your 16th birthday did you get your license?

Gus, didn't you hear, the new thing to do with printers is when they break or run out of ink or just in general don't act right, you throw it out and go get a new one. It's so much more cost effective.

(Sarcasm aside, it is cheaper to buy a new printer with fresh ink supply then to go get new ink.)

Just did this. Needed ink and a cable. Even buying cheap online, those cost $37. Could have bought just printer for $32, but got an HP all-in-one for $40. So ... $3 for printer.

The cave I posted pics of a while back? 20-something guy died there today.
My caving buddy went to rappel there today and instead had to assist with a body recovery.
Be careful out there people.

Yikes, do you know what happened?

I had to pay for my first car and for the insurance.... But if i could afford to do so when the time comes id love to be able to give my children their first car.... Id still make them pay the insurance unless they were full time in school or something...

Adopted a 4x36 ryobi sander and a 9 or 10" Delta bandsaw from pops. Shop is coming right along. Been making quite a bit of saw dust out there :D

Parent renewed their vows on saturday. Really nice reception and great after party till around 4am or so.... Man i got WASTED. Spent all of yesterday trying to recover. Hung over as hell and sore from dancing. Still feeling it. But.....

This snark is moving SLOW.... I keep expecting there to be a new one started and find its barely moved a page.... Slackers :p

One good thing is that the more often you drink the less the hangovers hurt. And, hair of the dog really does work!

You're right, if Some people weren't out partying all damned night, we might be a but further along!

:D

Glad to hear that you received some new kit for the shop, and congrats on the parents renewed vows!

If he fell off the pedestal where I'm standing below, 100' seems a little high to me. Damned shame no matter how far he fell.
