Sorry to hear about that accident. Smoke headed up.

You're right, if Some people weren't out partying all damned night, we might be a but further along!

:D

Glad to hear that you received some new kit for the shop, and congrats on the parents renewed vows!

Yea... Yea... :D But it was a lot of fun!!

And thanks bud!! The bandsaw is OLD, but even with an old worn out blade it cuts better than my less than a year old scroll saw with good expensive blades. Im going to get some more blades for it... I think its gunna be a worker!! The sander looks damn near new

Oh... we loaded 3 coolers full of ice... A walfart igloo, a coleman, and a yeti..... No joke the ice melted in the yeti FIRST!! The yeti was the smallest of the 3, and likely opened least of the 3 since less was stored in it.... Now the yeti was only half full of ice from the start, but it was ALL ice... and it ALL melted. Igloo STILL has ice in it from Saturday, some melted but its half an half ice and water now. Coleman had a few cubes of ice left in it but was mostly water... Yeti... ALL water.

Just saying :foot:

Now off to put up a swing for the kids!

Normally I don't complain about the heat... because in a few months I'll be upset about the extreme cold, but today... is crazy hot (102.2F with the humidity currently). So hot, that I don't even feel like going outside with the kids :(

On the plus side, I've noticed that I may have a few bucks for something. I might have to take a trip to the knife store, or continue saving for a 'Venus for Men' ... decisions decisions.

Damn send some of that out west…it's been raining for three days straight, and overnight frost warnings just outside the city. Was planning a fly fishing trip up to the foothills for the long weekend, but we nixed it when we heard there was a chance of snow...

Just did some 'hawk throwing with Dad.. Saw some rope on the ground and thought, "why not try to cut it with a throw?" Second try, sliced rope. did it three times before the ropes got too short to put around the tree. No pics but I'll get some next time.

dude! so we are hitting a freaken heat wave aaagain..... I really hope El Nino hits this winter. so tired of this 100 plus degree weather, I guess it doesn't help that we live in the central valley either, AKA The arm pit of the bay area.

If I could send it to you I would brother! I don't want to trade :P but I'll take the happy medium. I'd easily give you 19c and keep the other 20 lol.

You get uses to it. This is mildest summer we've had in awhile, the hotest it's been was about 105. It's usually in the triple digits from mid to late June through late agust early September

90°-something today. Sweating like a bacon incubator. Finished decking the tree fort....been 6+ years since my oldest daughter fell off it and fractured her skull. Hopefully there'll be no more of that shit. Now I'm looking and thinking....hmmmm...double decker? Triple Decker? Got a LOT of trees......I have always been enamored of the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse....

Damn, you got some stamina on that Venus for men!

Said that she did

Bucking trees is harder work

I've shot them. Very nice. swapping mags / reloading takes a bit to get used to.

There's vid of a guy doing swaps so fast he might as well have belt feed

Ouch!

Yeah warm!

Hauled that oak up the hill and did a lot of sundry cleanup. Four hours of that and I'm done.

I bet. Not a small amount of work to be done there.

Yeah....worked on the tree fort for a few hours and just spent a ½ hr. in the pool....the top ~1 ft. was warm, the rest not nearly so.....but I didn't mind. Needed desperately to cool off and stop sweating. I'll have to close it soon, tho. I really need to look into a DIY solar heater......and then find the time and inclination to build it....

I believe it. Not being used to bull-pups, it took a little bit of practice. Shooting it felt completely natural. I really liked the balance.

I can't stand high heat high humidity climate......

Hope you all had a good labor day, me and mine spent three whole days cleaning the house, and me cleaning the garage and shop. Got a lot done. But heres a question for you technical guys..... I put a whole quart of gear oil in my lathe today. I usually put a quart a year in it. Its a good sized lathe, (about 1,800 lbs) it's not a engine so it doesnt burn the oil, it doesnt leak a drop either, so where the hell does the oil go? Hmmph.

Murph ever have troubles with constipation? Maybe he's using it to get things "flowing".

I blame Murph. I don't know what the hell he's doing with it, but I blame him.

Good thing I refresh this page.....

I was going to say its Murph's fault when he runs out of beer....

micro-seeps around the bearings & seals? not enough to notice at any one time, because it's a fine vapor.
