Some "edge-u-cation"
As a responsible manufacturer, We make sure our knives are safe for the user (refined ergonomics for control, reliable strong locks, sufficient blade strength in material & grind, etc.).
It is also our responsibility to name our knives with names that do not cause our customers harm. If, for whatever stroke of bad luck might befall you, that you end up in legal trouble for the possession of a knife, a non violent, non threatening name will go in your favor.
"Mr. Doe here, has in his possession a knife that is named "the widowmaker". Obviously designed and built with the intention of killing men"., etc, etc.
To be wise is always best.
In addition to study of the "MBC art form" of Pikal, a "draw knife" (knife designed to be used in a pull cut safely & comfortably) has legitimate function in areas where a pull cut needs to be safe. Such as; horticulture, grafting plants, processing produce, wood carving, etc. All areas where a full flat grind on a piece of S30V would be appreciated.
Since the knife looks "backards", something with reference to that concept is easily understandable without mentioning function. If function is to be part of the name, then the funtion needs to be carefully looked at. Easy to remember.
Reverse, REV, pull, puller, draw, the verso or similar? You keep sounding them out, we'll write 'em down and when we get closer to a piece, we'll look at the list closely.
Something like "pickle" requires explanation. It's a fun "in-house" project name but wouldn't work for an ad.
