A Spyderco Pikal?

From what Sal says this knife should be in production SOON! Stay tuned...

Hopefully soon enough for Santa to fit one on his sleigh for me. :)

Define "SOON". :)

Yeah. Sal has a funny way of using the word "soon." Given that new designs typically take anywhere 2 to 4 years to go from concept to shipping. "Soon" could be anything. ;)

"Soon" is to Spyderco as "two weeks" is to Busse. :D

You mean like "maybe next decade...or century"? :D

Seriously, that may be the knife I want to give to my LEO girlfriend, I hope it will hit the market fairly soon.

Guys "Soon" is a subjective term in knifemaking I know this:-)... From all I know this project is on the fast track though. Sal is the man with the answers, and I am sure he will let us know when he knows.

I certainly hope it doesn't take that long. Been waiting anxiously for that one.

I can say with quite a bit of confidence we are not looking at ANYTHING like a 2-4 year time-frame. In case any of you are going to Blade Show West, Snarc will be doing a seminar on Sunday of that weekend. Just thought I would throw in a shameless plug ;)

The "proto" was well received by Pikal practitioners at the Spirit of Steel Show in Dalls last weekend.

It is off to Snarc & Trace next week. If they approve, then production engineering can begin.

thank you for the quick update, sal.

understanding that there may be legal mumbo jumbo that has to be considered, but when do you think we will get a preview of the blade?

anything you would feel comfortable sharing at this early date would be appreciated.

thank you, again.

But where are the pictures? Just give us 1! Even if it's just closed and from 20 feet away! Some thing! Anything!?!?!?!

From 20 feet away, and closed, it looks like this: _ :D

I kid, I'd love to see a pic, too. :)

Well I got the working prototype in today.

I haven't really got to play with it that much, but my initial impressions are that it's...perfect. I think everyone will be pleased with the result. I know that it'll replace the old Kershaw Talon as my EDC pikal folder.

Sal I got to give you credit. You really hit this one out of the park, much like Trace did with the Disciple and the Clinch-Pick. Not many companies can get a knife this right, based on end-user input.

Outstanding sir! :)
