Photos A Walk in Nature

Yes well, I removed them. But I want you to know that all of the photo's, accept the Rooster and the Moon, were a walk in nature.
I pretty much live in the woods and swamps of Louisiana. Throughout the year. I walk for hours , and sit like a statue for hours , to get a shot.
Most of the time, after all the walking and sitting for hours, I come home with nothing, but occasionally it works. Anyway,I don't go to zoo's or have feeders in the back yard. Everything is wild caught 99% of the time.
But alas they have been removed and I shall fade out of this thread.
Take care.

Don’t fade out entirely! :(

I saw your pictures before you removed them and to my untrained eye they seemed superb, but yes, a bit much for one post or series of posts.

I for one would enjoy hearing about your days in the wild looking for shots. On days you go you could maybe post just a couple of pictures and a shot of the knife you were carrying, give a little info on where you went, that type of thing. I’m sure others would enjoy it too, and it might give everyone a break from my nonstop stream of iPhone pics of the Potomac 🤣.

I IXLR8 - I may have sounded more harsh than intended. J JUST Tom says it EXACTLY as I meant and better than I said it. Mix in your photos with narrative, nature and nives. Was never intending to dis you and certainly did not ask you to delete your photos or to bail on this thread entirely - but just to be more in tune with the intent of this particular thread. AND that there are other BD sub-forums in which your spectacular photographs in and of themselves, would be more appropriate. Please reconsider.

Thank you. I've been a practicing wildlife photographer for a while. it's the only thing that I'm pretty good at sometimes. But I'm working on it.
I gave up everything to do this. Everything that I do for work helps to pay for it. After work , the rest of my time is spent doing, this. or what it once was. Before everything was deleted. lol.
Anyway, thank you. I tried to tell a story.
Be well
A.Smith

It's all good, Mr. Ray.
Didn't mean to over step my boundaries.
I mean, I could give you guys more. If you want? I may not fit the topic, but it might help me at the fork in the road , where I need to go. It's the only thing that I'm good at, sometimes.

Yes. I like your photographs. I regret you have deleted them.

Dan.

I think that old tree might yield some outstanding knife covers.

Fantastic pic Mr P :)
The in-laws are visiting us from Florida … so I went on a solo adventure on Serena 😄

Sailed about 20 km from Newboro Lock to the tiny but pretty village of Portland.

Tomorrow I’ll continue onto picturesque Perth

A beautiful sunset 🌅 wrapped a beautiful day and it reddish hues complemented today’s carry 😊

Lol, thanks Jack 😁

What do i see? A folding armchair! A cooler!
You don't deny yourself any comfort...
Dan, are you getting old?

Dan.

I think I must be getting old Dan !
I tried hard for a good and smart line to get back at your question however my “old” 😮 brain can not come up with anything right now 😁

He is keeping himself YOUNG. Getting outside for a great water solo cruise and wise enough to provide some comfort so his body thrives as he is relaxing rather than getting beat up needlessly from unwarranted endurance test.

There you go CelloDan CelloDan - not very pithy but solid. 👍 :)

Glad you are back I IXLR8

Home safe and sound to my loved ones :)

I am spent after all the adventuring lol but feeling invigorated by the experience.

I learned so much on this trip, ... about sailing, about Serena, ... the lakes, the wind, new ports and pretty villages.

To keep this interesting, I got rained on while on the lake and had to seek refuge on a private island dock ( the owner was very nice and allowed me to sit out the rain there )
Winds were quite strong at times and I had to learn how to reef the sails while on the go in a big hurry lol.
At one point a gunwale took a brief dip in the drink and that certainly got my heart pumping :)

There were also many peaceful moments for reflection and quiet enjoyment :)

My SAK helping me dispatch my protein bar lol
