Happy Canada Day Dan, to you and all our other Canucks :)
Thank you Jack ! :) 🍁
Happy Canada Day! 🥳🇨🇦
Thank you Mike ! :) 🍁
I found a pretty cool tree on my hike this morning... Seems to be hugging that rock. :)

Cool tree John ! 😎 !
First sighting out in Nature of Case's new offering ;) 😎

Dan Esperanza es muy hermosa! She looks pretty fast too.
Gracias mi amigo :) She certainly moves with easy on the water and has proven herself on a variety of conditions.
So I'm already wishing my life away and waiting on fall.
😨No , not yet ... the white stuff comes after Fall 🥶 , no more Esperanza or Serena for many months 😭
It's Ok, ... I will embrace winter yet again when it comes 😀

Cool pictures 😎, awesome mask . I am sure RayseM RayseM would love that one :)

I suspect that if such a creature were roaming in your shared woods it must have been a woodland polypore cupid. 🥰
Not pretty but a tender hearted creature who likes to bring good people together. You are a lucky man to have such a woman and such a woodland spirit sharing your woods Fodderwing Fodderwing .

You made me laugh Dwight. Is that a screen saver that you had it so readily available? :D The WPC has grown a beard since that photo was taken.

I thought you'd get a kick out of that Ray. I save any interesting photos I come across. I've had these images since the day you posted them. Have a great weekend my friend.

Looking at a week coming up of 100 degree days. So I'm already wishing my life away and waiting on fall. I took these a while back on property that brought Cherri and I together. Our land joined and that's how we met. Another blessing from the creator.

Fantastic photos Dwight, and a romantic tale :)
There were numerous times that we spotted a mysterious creature moving through the forest but were never able to make contact. The elusive being would just vanish before our eyes. We did manage to document one of these encounters.View attachment 1860421
Any help in identifying this creature would be appreciated.
:D

After a long weekend of chores, I finally got out to the river for a while this morning. Same knife, same scenery - comforting for me but probably boring for you all :D

Gave up on catfish after a while and decided to go for panfish. Found what looked like an ideal spot, but it was all little guys- got a nibble within seconds of every cast, but this was the only one big enough to take the hook. Grilled chicken again for dinner.

Thank you Tom for sharing your 'walks in nature" and personal experiences my friend  :)

Diana and I are hoping to be able to go out on Serena this coming weekend for some much needed "nature" therapy. We'll take it easy and stick close to a lock that has amenities such as showers, plenty of shade etc.

For the weekend after and once she recovers from her 5th round of chemo we are planning to be more adventurous and cruise the 1000 islands around Gananoque/Kingston on the Saint Lawrence river.

Looking forward to some downtime close to nature and my lovely wife, a few traditional knives and posting on the Porch :)

Thanks, Dan.

I hope the “nature therapy” has the intended effect, and as always I am hoping and praying for your wife’s speedy and complete recovery. It is great that you can still get out from time to time.

I’m glad you enjoy reading about my little outings - they are just placeholders until things settle down for you and we get to hear about your next really big adventure :).
