Have a great weekend you TWO. Sure hope that Diana is well enough to enjoy. Though I imagine if she feels poorly, being on a boat in the sun and under the stars is no worse - far better - than being confined to the sofa.

One of my favorite local features. This now moss covered slab cleaved off the rock face on the left (out of the photo) who knows how many centuries /eons ago. It simply fell off and slid down hill away from its source. You can study the features of the rock and see the mate impressions on the still standing face.

I need to try to photograph the other side and merge the images to watch the ancient be reborn.

We went to a traditional local "summer art event" today. I was inspired to buy a gift for Diana. That's all I will say about it until I place it in her hands in September. Well OK, one hint - pretty sure it doesn't float.

I asked Diana yesterday morning and she picked the Pioneer X. I had wished she would have picked a more “photogenic “ one however it did came very useful later in the day to remove a splinter on my foot

Navigated about 20 km yesterday from Jones Falls to Upper Brewers in ideal conditions.

Yesterday’s journey

Stone dam at Jones Falls. Construction finished in 1831. It was the highest dam in North America at the time

Certainly is a trip with some interesting features. Perfect summer adventuring without the need to exert yourselves.
Thought Diana would have picked the MASERIN. I guess she is more into practicality than pretty. Explains her choice in other ways too. Steady on ...

Today we had a another nice day of sailing aboard Serena.
We came back to Jones Falls as the wind had turned almost 180 degrees from Friday and it brought us back from Upper Brewers in about 3 hours.

The day was not too hot and not cool either… just perfect.

Diana is resting now and I have been chasing this Heron around the locks for a photo op
