cal4me admitted to trolling.
the posts were not deleted, just moved offline.
we try not to destroy anything we might later need in court.

Hope this gets resolved smoothly for you Moelns12.

BF is a great place with great members. ...and decent Mods:p

Just to make it clear to everyone, cali4me admitted to being the buyer last night. Some of those posts were deleted by the mod.

Also, I think the "they" Nomo4me was referring to was thieves and not people from San Jose. At least that's the way I took it.

Wow, just stried to read all this today - that fills in the blanks.
Thanks

Seems like this should end in a good way for the OP - and a scammer has been revealed for all to see.

Incredible...It takes all kinds apparently.

Wow^^stingy sneaky little troll. I hope his account has been shut down and hes banned from bf for the rest of his life. We dont need people like that here, period.

Yep. Didn't believe that's possible until he admitted it. What were the odds?
At that price range probably higher than I would have guessed. Chances are actually not too small that a buyer and seller of an expensive knife even at eelbay are both members here.

Just one question, was he only a troll or trying to misinform in order to flip the original for a fake and walk of without a fight?

Yea thats true. Its happened to me before i sold a knife on ebay to a member on here, im just surprised that he actually did somthing like that. I dont know what his real intentions were, with a shady person like that you never know.

Is it easy for a Mod to check IP addresses to see if cali4me is a dummy account of a member here? Certainly, I hope a member would not do that....

I followed this thread from the start, cali4me is a sociopath preying on good people with no feeling of empathy. Wjat goes around comes around. hopefully to him sooner than later. I hope he is banned from this site. Good luck Op, i hope you get your knife back in one piece bud.

I am the smartest, best looking, coolest, richest and most humble sociopath I know ;) but I am not a predator. I was never going to return anything other than what was sent to me and I certainly would not now that have revealed my identity. Rest assured that OP will get back his sebenza and in better condition then he sent it.

The 'trolling' I referred to was pretending like I was not going to swap and send back a fake because I don't like the knife (one of the removed posts). EVERYTHING else I said was truthful, relevant and non-trolling. Though I did give (most) of you a mind-f*&% by convincing I was not the buyer (even though I never said I wasn't) and then admitting 'I am the buyer'. Admitting to being the buyer--even if it so shocking it's trollish--is entirely on topic, relevant to this thread and honest but I can see why the mod would not recognize this off hand and respond with a knee-jerk reaction. Also I never claimed or even implied 'I am not to be the buyer', I just pointed out how small the chances are; it blows my mind that the very first time I come to BF and the very first topic I look at is about me and it was posted only hours before.

By federal law: buyer wins every time they claim they did not revive what they purchased (look-up 'CFPB regulation e'). It is a risk you must take as a seller on any online marketplace using credit card payment and you should be aware. You're welcome.

As to why: I was just looking for the most speedy path to a return and refund. OP misrepresented the condition of knife/accessories (a minor misrepresentation is still a misrepresentation) in a way that was more fraudulent than my misrepresented claim against OP. After finding this thread I decided to give a lesson on what COULD happen while at the same time suggesting OP make both our lives easier by offering a partial refund; he did not so he gets his knife back and a great story to go with it.

Definitely a mental illness. Severe narcissism, sociopath, etc...
