Albers Cutlery Company

I was on the site within 10 seconds of the email because I was on my laptop. I hurriedly put 2 knives in the cart and raced to pay. It was too late.

I earnestly don’t understand this system. When you move that quick and are at the right place at the right time and even the knives were in the cart. I even raced to make payment. The whole thing went from receiving the email to paying with PP took less than 60 seconds and I still got the message that they were both sold.

Hey folks, sorry so many of you are having a hard time snagging a knife. The demand is just mind-bogglingly high right now. As of last night I had just shy of 1200 people on the email list. Eventually I should think things will simmer down a bit, and in the meantime I'll keep cranking them out. For those of you who've been wondering how I go about the launches; I set up the email so it's ready to send. I then list all the knives on the website and set them as drafts. When the time comes, I hit "send" on the emails (all sent as a batch) and immediately set the listings to "active". That's about as simultaneous as I can make it.

Fox79 the numbers on this batch were 20 snakewood, 23 kirinite, and 8 axis antler ( I had just 1 antler to work with as a trial run). I used up the last of my parts on this batch and I'm working on new parts now so it may be a little while before the next run is done, but in the meantime I'll be working on the sheath knives to keep things rolling.

Had a bit of a price increase on this run due to some price increases on my end as well as seeing what my tax situation will be. I definitely started out too low but I think it's now where it should be.

I just want to thank you all again for the amazing support you've given me, hopefully I can eventually get a knife to each of you!

Also, did you notice that I listed the snakewood as snakeskin wood? What?? That cracks me up. I think my brain gets a little whacked out at launch time LOL!

Eric

1200 people on the email list and probably a lot of them are just trying to get one to sell on ebay for more $.

Have you thought about those of us on BF (this is just a suggestion) who you can see their profile. View their posts . And / or the ones who post on this thread and give us a shot? Those who just want the knife to keep and not resell at a profit!

Better luck next time. My recommendation would be to just go for one, that has worked for me on Northwoods drops.

HA H! I didn’t even take the time to look at them. I just picked 2 without even having a thought as to what I wanted.

Next time I will pick just one.

Despite my best efforts, I got skunked - weekend releases simply do not work for me. I am plugged in all week long, my weekends are my respite from such things. Regardless, I am thrilled for those that scored one, I hope to see your pictures very soon.

All was not lost though, I was able to scoop up a CSC Jack in some of my favored Stag. It is a nice knife and is interesting to see how it is a bit of a "tweener" when compared to the GEC 15 and 14.

I have yet to see an Albers Cutlery knife on eBay... If I had before yesterday I probably would have bought the thing LOL. I think just about the only way ppl are finding out about these are from here on BF and like 2 videos on YT. But I have to admit the thought crossed my mind last month when the same thing happened to me.

I got the notification email this time, but I was not in a position to check the email notification on my phone and buy a knife. Baby steps, right? :D Maybe next time.
