On a side note...
I have a GSO 10 coming my way early next week via private seller. Pretty excited to go out and beat the snot out of it!
It is a matching set to my 4.1 which is my favorite knife.
Anyone try to piggyback the sheathes on these yet?

The drainage channels thicken the sheaths such that the distance between piggy-backed sheaths is fairly large, larger than any screw/pillar set I have, so I tried LASHING them together with string/paracord through the eyelets... As an alternative, you can put cord or webbing through the slots of one sheath and use the MOLLE-clip of the other for attachment, but I think the string/cord is easier. It works OK, tight to prevent rattle, but it isn't something I'd recommend. I keep them separate.

Thanks for the feedback. I think that I will end up going the separate route as well. I usually carry my 4.1 on my left cross draw and my firearm on my right.

About 4.1 in cpm-20cv Christmas orders - just got a message from Josh. According to him, they are waiting for sheaths and handles to finish up, and also very busy with shipping overdue GSO 10's. He said maybe another week or so of waiting.

The GSO-10's that were supposed to go out before SHOT? Anyone who hasn't received their 10 yet has every right to be extremely pi$$ed off. Anyone want to guess when the 3.5's will finally start shipping?

I wanted to say that I'd never order from Guy (as I'd said much earlier in this thread), but who am I kidding? I just got onto the wait list for a couple Skookum Bush Tools. That's a four year wait at this time, but hey, at least I don't have to pay up front.

With times like that, Guy's wait times are nothing. I'm sure Randall customers can relate.

3.5 Preorder from September was initially scheduled to be ready before Christmas . I inquired today via email as to the status of my order . According to Josh the 3.5's should be ready " later this month , or early next month " . Apparently waiting for vendors to complete fitting of scales and sheaths . Sounds great but later this month is about 7 days , early next month is only a few days more .
There seems to be a pattern of changing time frames and blaming vendors for delays . I can sympathize with the growing pains associated with starting a small business , dealing with vendors etc. , but it does get tiresome . If GSO is serious about SURVIVE! ... ing as a business , they need to get their act together .

Just to give a bit of an update, at least some of the delay is on me. I'm working pretty much constantly to get sheaths out. Most of the time lately it's been 36-40 hour shifts, but there's only so much that can be done. The GSO-10s in particular have obviously been slow going as there's just so much work in them.

I believe all the GSO-10 sheaths being waited on have been delivered as of Today, so those should be rolling out. 4.1 sheaths have started heading out and will be done as quickly as I can make them.

Hope this helps a bit.[/QUOT

That is from December 24.
So the sheaths for the 10's have been there almost a month? Huh.

I just got the shipping notification for my second GSO 10. It should be delivered by early next week. I got my first one with the batch that shipped out before the shot show. It is a beast. Just a huge pice of steel. Can't wait to test it out.

Was your first one the laser cut second? Do you remember what date you submitted the pre-order?

No both of mine are preorders. I order the first on April 22 and the second on April 25.

Hmmmm....does not appear that they are sending them out on a "first-come-first-serve" basis: I placed my GSO-10 pre-order purchase on April 23, 2013. Oh well, I believe it is worth the wait.

I was noting the same thing. It could be availability of scales/sheaths that is dictating the order in which they ship. But I wonder what the real answer is.

I would not hold my breath for next month delivery of 3.5s
I got a shipping notice for GSO 10, that I have ordered in June, today. I am happy that it is coming but it is way over the deadline

Hi Roman, I am glad that you got your shipping notice on the 10, and I hope that you share your findings and impressions here upon receipt. Like defiant-1, I too ordered my 10 on April 23, the day that the pre-order notification was received in my inbox. However, I am wondering what justification Guy is using to ship knives to some customers, when there are others that have waited approximately two months longer for the same thing? It just is not making any sense. Perhaps his customer list is in alphabetical order, but I suggest that we re order the list date ordered.

I might have been a bit off on order date (its been soooo long ago) it could have been April. I know that I jumped on pre order list pretty early on.

Just in from Survive Knives: My 10 has shipped! It looks like Guy has reached a critical mass with these, and more notices will be flowing out.
