I preordered my GSO 10 on May 4th and have not received any communication via email.

The email that I received informing me of the status of the GSO 10 production delays was received on 1/7/14. I assumed that this went to all pre order customers. That is the problem with making email lists after the fact. Somebody is bound to be overlooked. I'm sorry that you did not get one. It looks like the 10s are shipping, but Shot Show is next week. There will probably be no activity from Guy until the week after Shot. You will get it soon, I am sure.

Let's hope so, I sent Guy and email to make sure I wasn't lost in the shuffle somewhere.

So, any pictures of the GSO-10 from new owners? I uploaded a quick (and crappy) video about my normal carry-method for the GSO-10 and to show the edge restored after months of hard use. The CPM-3V took a LONG time to blunt enough to require resharpening, and i didn't bother fully removing the damage from the tree-spike. Anway, just something to waste your time with as you wait for goodies to appear on your door-steps!

I received my package today from Survive. It contained my jimpless 4.1 wrapped in a Survive t shirt. I am certainly glad to get this. Took about a month. I was hoping my 10 would arrive also, but not yet. I'd love to see pictures of those getting their 10s as well.

NICE Crazyfingers ! Have you got to try out your 5 much ? If so , how do you find it ? Between the cold we had and being too busy I haven't really had the chance to give mine a good workout yet .

Hi crazyfingers. How does the ELMAX on your EDC perform compared to the M390? I noticed that Guy got away from the ELMAX. It might be because of the problems that ZT was having with it, but I would expect that PHT would be able to make it as good as it can be. Just curious. Nice family though.

Received my new -10 yesterday. First impressions (not having used it yet) is it exhibits the same quality level, F&F, sharpness, etc as the first GSO-10 I bought from Survive!. That said, I think I prefer the handle ergos of the first gen GSO-10. The new one seems thinned out a bit too much, almost feels like a thinner version of Esee knife handles.. Time/use will tell what I really think, but I'm a bit disappointed so far..

From what he has said, Guy left ELMAX because it didn't offer much of an advantage over M390 in toughness and was less wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, so Guy was trying to go with the "best" steel on the market, as he understood it. No issue with HT on either steel... but both are European, not USA which is why Guy switched to CPM-20CV, an American equivalent of M390. He aims to offer the best that he can and as American as he can.

:( Care to post an image (or just e-mail to me and I'll post it) so we can see what you mean? Do you still have the old one to compare it to? For example, here is a thickness shot of my 1st-gen GSO-10:

People who would like a thicker handle.... try the floor mat mod on posts 9 and 24 of this thread. It is cheap, quick and easy, best of all the results are incredible.

Sounds logical to me. I never heard why he had left ELMAX, I did know why is moving to 20CV from M390 though. I did not know if the flurry over the ZT ELMAX situation scared him away, however unfounded it might be. Peoples perceptions are their reality, no matter how misguided they might be. Thank you for the clarification.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the old one. I sold it for some quick cash since this one was inbound. Wish I had held onto it now..
