The email that I received informing me of the status of the GSO 10 production delays was received on 1/7/14. I assumed that this went to all pre order customers. That is the problem with making email lists after the fact. Somebody is bound to be overlooked. I'm sorry that you did not get one. It looks like the 10s are shipping, but Shot Show is next week. There will probably be no activity from Guy until the week after Shot. You will get it soon, I am sure.
So, any pictures of the GSO-10 from new owners?
Hi crazyfingers. How does the ELMAX on your EDC perform compared to the M390? I noticed that Guy got away from the ELMAX. It might be because of the problems that ZT was having with it, but I would expect that PHT would be able to make it as good as it can be. Just curious. Nice family though.
Received my new -10 yesterday... I think I prefer the handle ergos of the first gen GSO-10. The new one seems thinned out a bit too much, almost feels like a thinner version of Esee knife handles.. Time/use will tell what I really think, but I'm a bit disappointed so far..
From what he has said, Guy left ELMAX because it didn't offer much of an advantage over M390 in toughness and was less wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, so Guy was trying to go with the "best" steel on the market, as he understood it.

No issue with HT on either steel... but both are European, not USA which is why Guy switched to CPM-20CV, an American equivalent of M390. He aims to offer the best that he can and as American as he can.
Care to post an image (or just e-mail to me and I'll post it) so we can see what you mean? Do you still have the old one to compare it to? For example, here is a thickness shot of my 1st-gen GSO-10:

People who would like a thicker handle.... try the floor mat mod on posts 9 and 24 of this thread. It is cheap, quick and easy, best of all the results are incredible.
