And I didn't know BRKs did any work on GSO knives? But I must have the fully convexed BRK version?? Help out a knife freak! Enjoy the pics.

Oh, and after handling these two back to back and comparing the feel and swing... If I were to take one with me... it'd be the....

GSO 5.x
First thing. The GSO is thicker stock and the scales are bulkier. The knife is heavier in both cases and this makes it actually useful when chopping. The GSO 5.x has enough weight it will chop, the RMD doesn't feel right when trying to chop. Also, the RMD scales are only contoured "vertically", no palm swell. This is very noticeable when handling both knives. The RMD feels "flat" and doesn't fill my hand. Another thing about the handles on the GSO is that there is that little pinkie hook.. This keep the knife locked in your hand much better in chop mode than the RMD. Also you have 2 finger coils that make it really lock in. Add the handle thickness and this knife becomes part of you (the GSO).
The choils... The GSO choil is not as usable as the RMD. However, there is more usable edge on the GSO because of this. Also due to choil on the handles of both knives, you end up have what seems like an extra inch of blade on the RMD.
Steel choice goes to... undetermined.
The sheath on the GSO is great. RMD....
Only downside to the GSO (other than a small choil that can easily be enlarged if desired) is the weight. This is also a huge benefit. So, a few extra ounces weigh you down, but also give you much more utility.
I want a GSO 10 (love that tall blade), and I'd love to check out a smaller GSO4 in m390, though the 5 is really the perfect length if you are trying to use this knife as more a versitile tool then just a cutter/slicer.
Oh, and last thing that I don't care for are coatings... I don't see a purpose other than aesthetics..
Hope this added some value to the OPs theme! Cheers!
