I would be shocked if Joe has heard from Blade.

Hell, it's going to take a while before Blade kicks "any" frog skins in Joe's direction.

JMO, but I think someone should remove the "thumbs up" icon from this thread or change it to a "thumbs down". To the casual passerby it looks like a thread of praise. Yes, they could actually read it but threads with this many pages can put off a lot of people w/o a lot of time.
 
The thumbs-up was posted by the author of the post that started this thread, eraaij. We can't censor that -- he was expressing his opinion, and he's entitled to.

I know this is asking for a lot from Allan, but he should contact Joe and at least lay out his plans for getting the debt paid off.

:thumbup: I agree. . . .100 percent.

He communicated that plan on 28 Feb, and received approval to execute his plan on March 1st.

One would think that he would communicate his intentions to Joe. Then again, Blade, isn't known for his communication skills. . . .especially when it doesn't benefit him directly. ;)

IMO, Blade prescribes in the philosophy of only providing "lip service." Something that is often seen.
 
If Allan is planning on taking care of all his current orders before he puts knives up for auction then it is going to be quite awhile before he gets Joe taken care of, even if he does live up to his promise.

I got mail from Allan Blade who told me he will finish some knives for auction at BB after he catchs up some overdue orders.
Sounds like a plan, let's see what will happen.

I suspect that someone whispered the need to communicate "the plan" or he stumbled on the recent posts about it. :D

There are quite a few industries (manufacturing, retailing, etc.) that use several terms called FILO and LIFO. They are accounting terms that typically record inventory for tax purposes and determining costs.

FILO = "first in ~ last out"

LIFO = "last in - first out"

One of the killers is that a business must report, to the IRS, which method it will employ. Once a business has filed under FILO, it must request permission to switch to LIFO. Keeps businesses from avoiding taxation by randomly switching between both.


So, based on "Blade Theory of Business Practices". . . . . . :D
 
I thought he was getting out of making knives and heading up R&D for someone after he filled the orders for BB?

That was before he had all that support from the guys on BB Cliff. First he needs to soak them, then he will get out of the making business.
