Allan Blade

Some of what Martyn has said (in general about Americans) over here has pissed me off. People here don't go over there to crap in their yard. But I think he's probably a decent person overall and probably regrets those statements now that the heat of argument has faded.

I believe a lot of people have misunderstood what the General was trying to say. I think he's a good guy. Sometimes it's easy to misinterpret what somebody says, it's happened to me enough.

As Gillean said, the bloom is off the rose at BB and we're all essentially on the same page as far as Allan Blade is concerned now. Let's celebrate what we have in common and be good neighbors. Hey, we all like a good knife, right?

Thank you. I am genuinly sorry my comment was seen in the light it was. However considering how heated this thread has been... I can understand why. I just thought my reasonable name was worth something and people would not jump to conclusions. My bad as they say.:foot:

As punishment, we shall refer to you as The Brigadier - throughout all of July :D

Wayne, the reason that I posted that I never thought I would say that was that I have always respected you and your input here on BF. I really saw no other reason for you to have posted what you did on that particular thread other than to have been rubbing our noses in it. If I misread your meaning then please accept my apology, and here's a big hello right back at you.

Like I care what you think...;)

Has nothing to do with "what I thought." Besides, I always consider the source.

Thats cool!:)

You know, this just goes to show how easy it is on a forum to say something, even if you use a smilie for emphasis and it can be taken the wrong way.

I am confident that if all of us were in a room together (as long as Allen Blade stayed away...;) ) we would all form an understanding and perhaps friendships. Even Gig1 and I... Probably...:p

You can add my name to that list. And I'm Canadian. (...and a redneck and a windowlicker.)

I see that this thread will live a long life. Wish more people ordering his stuff could read it before they put the money in the mail. I think he will still take orders if he thinks he can make a buck without putting the steel in the mail.

So he pumps out about an hour's worth of knives; is that enough to sing his praises?

Two 3.5 inch relatively plain Jane fixed blades, WOW!!!!
No wonder he is months and Months behind schedule.........(Insert very large  here)

Maybe his grinder runs really slow.

He uses a fingernail clipper file. Ya know, the one that can be placed on a keyring/chain. :D

That has been my contention for a looooong ass time. His knives aren't all that and a bag of chips ! They are inexpensive. . . plain Jane. . . . .very average knives. :barf:

A bang of chips is what haoppens to Blade's little bag after meeting a southbound 2X4!!!

:jerkit:

Goes something like this: "Ain't all that and a bag of chips. . . .in fact. . . .you have a hard time being the chip."

Must be a North American thing.

Ahhhh right! Thanks!

I think we have similar sayings in the UK, for example, someone being a few planks short of a shed or a few sandwiches short of a picnick!
