I see that this thread will live a long life. Wish more people ordering his stuff could read it before they put the money in the mail. I think he will still take orders if he thinks he can make a buck without putting the steel in the mail.

Jay, they COULD read it - all they have to do is do a little search on Google or any other search engine.

Now maybe the editor (Steve Dick) and staff of Tactical Knives should/ could have read this prior to giving Allan favorable press in that issue of Tac Knives dealing with handmade Bushcraft blades. I am guessing that coverage in such a publication is good for a few orders? I do believe that the issue of TK with the Bushies was published after this thread or several like it were started. I could be wrong of course, but this has been going on a LONG time.

Joe is still out frog skins. . .and from his last post, he Blade hasn't contacted him.

Allan has once again put Joe on the back burner so that he can salvage whatever he can of his reputation on BB. He is delivering just enough knives so that people won't lose total confidence in him. If he sends money to Joe he won't have any to purchase materials with and that will mean no more knives for the BB folks.

It's my understanding that the entire concept of owning a sharp pointy piece of steel will soon be history in England. They government doesn't feel that they can be trusted with knives with points, pointing to an English King who invented what became the butter knife so that those "knights" who couldn't hold their brew would not ventilate each other during dinner. It is against the law over there to even consider self defense as an option. It's only run away or get trounced. Knives with points might be used to defend ones self which could easily cause a criminal to lose his ability to work as a criminal, and we can't have that, can we
