Allan Blade

That will be one less that Allan owes. It would be nice to know how he's doing at getting the folks on BB straightened away. I won't even ask about Joe, since there is very seldom good news on that front.

I do hope that the Joe issue gets resolved. Thanks to all on the forum who offered genuinely helpful info. Much appreciated. Will report when knife arrives.

Hi Folks,

I got to Spokane yesterday and paid a visit to the Allan Blade address. It'ws 12419 E. 14th Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99216-2347. Here's what I found:

It is a duplex, the last building on the left on that piece of 14th Ave.
The duplex has attached garages at the front between the 2 sides. His address is on the kleft side. Above his garage, in large letters, is the word "BLADE." Directly below that is a knife about 18 inches long. In the driveway was an old beater Mustang, eitther realley washed out or primer gray, WA license number 908 KJV. On the street in front was a late model red Ford p/u, small size, no canopy, WA lic number A46047Y.

The door to the garage was closed so I didn't go knock on the door. The back yard appears small enough to preclude a shop so my guess is that he works in the garage.

I generated enough interest taking pictures and notes that his neighbor came out and kept an eye on me, so my guess is that he got a heads up yesterday. I went by around noon.

I didn't want to create a scene or legal issue so I didn't approach the house. Had he been working in the garage I would have spoken with him.

I did some calling around and talked with the Spokane Co. prosecutor's office. They referred me to the State Attorney General's Office, Consumer Protection Division, 509-456-3123. They also have a website for filing complaints, www.ag.wa.gov.

I really hope that helps somebody out. I took some pics of the residence, sign and vehicles. You can get those from me off forum with a personal email. I'm on the road right now, so answering my email is somewhat sporadic.

Good luck to whoever needs to pursue this person.

beef,
Good luck for your knife. Hope you can receive it soon.

Mr. Martin,
Thank you very much for spending your time to track Allan Blade down and providing the address, phone no, car lic information. Thank you.

Now if anybody familiar with this, can I file a suit against Allan Blade on this web site? http://www.ic3.gov/
Thanks for your help.

Joe

Joe, a "suit" is a civil proceeding filed in a court of law. In common usage, the "suit" (technically an "action")asks for money damages to put the plaintiff in as good a position as he would have been in IF the defendant had done what he was supposed to do under the law.

The site you identify is a means to bring claimed criminal conduct to the attention of law enforcement authorities.

A failure to perform a promise to deliver a product for a price (OR to pay for a product) is not a crime unless the person who did not deliver (or pay) never intended to deliver (or pay).

Thank you Thomas.
With different language it's very difficult for me to do law-related action.
Actually I have never gone to court or sued anybody in my life time.

Since beef will receive his knife,
I suppose Allan Blade is still in business and is trying to get the pre-paid knives to his customers.

Yes, Joe. It is fair easier to cheat someone when they are far away - especially in another country where English is a second language.

As I am sure you know, the average U.S. citizen is far less likely to have a second language than the citizens of many other nations. I could barely order dinner in French or Spanish and can only bow in Japanese :D -- and that's about the limit for me. I admire your learning.

Joe. . . .

You can file a complaint using the web site provided. It is not a means to file a law suit.

Here's how it works. . . .

You provide the necessary information that surrounds your problem. The IC3 will review your complaint. If they feel that it has merit, they will refer it to the appropriate law enforcement agency/agencies that has jurisdictional control over Blade. For example, in your case, they could send it to the Washington State police, the local / city police department or county Sheriffs.

The law enforcement agency / agencies will look at your case and then decide if they can proceed. . . .according to the laws.

IMO, give it a shot !

i wonder if joe chen could give power of attorney to one of us in the US and they could file the suit............??

I don't think the Washington AG's office cares where the victim lives, the suspect and transaction took place in the City of Spokane Valley. It's in Spokane Co, Washington. That shoulld be enough to pursue it as a cvivil matter and require restitution.

A lawyer licensed to practice in a jurisdiction can file an action in court there for a client who has authorized that step regardless of where the client is located. However, if a trial is necessary, witnesses must typically be present or their testimony produced by deposition, in most states under the Uniform Foreign Depositions as Evidence Act -- think $$$ for court reporter and transcript even if a lawyer would take the case for free in Washington.

If the State will pursue the matter as a consumer protection action, that would be best for Joe's pocketbook.

Again, breach of contract is not a crime unless the wrong-doing party never intended to perform and induced an injury to the victim by that deception (fraud or larceny by trick, depending on the facts).

Hey,

DO i still live where i have for 4 yrs, yep, never said i didnt.

DO i still make knives yep, until i am finished caught up , then im selling my equipment and getting out of knifemaking all together.

Would like to send Joe Chen some more Money tonite if i can find his PAypal info , or if anyone has it send it to me at bladecutlery@comcast.net

DO i care if anyone comes around my house, nope but be aware that the next person who does and is found " Taking Pictures" ect. my Neighbors have informed me they will contact Law enforcement for me and they will have to explain what they are doing to Them.

DO i care if anyone " FIles Suit" nope knock yourselves out..... facts are no crime has been committed,, I asked today myself , And was TOLD by the Procecutors office and attorney General that Having my shop and being in buisness but not fuffiling orders on time is not a Violation of LAW.

Now Not Having the means to fullfill orders and not having a SHOP and taking orders for Products that I could not nor Not have the means to produce IS a CRIME,,,,, but thats not the case here now is it.

Facts are this, you may think im a CRook, thief, ect, ect, i could care less what you all think of me, but the facts are Being behind on orders,, Like 5 or 6 orders still outstanding Ect,,, Owing somone a refund, ect,, is NOT A CRIME folks.

So say what you like i dont really care. as i have said , Im going to pay JOE some more money tonite, Already sent " BEEF" his knife, have one going to ITALY, have the last few going to ENGLAND and then i am DONE and finished with Knifemaking for GOOD. Better things to do with my life than waste it on Knifemaking.

Oh and If anyone has anything to say to me , How bout Having the BALLS to say it to me in my email,,,,, instead of on here where i cant respond because i get my names banned once folks know its me.. COme on how fair is that,,, Talk crap about somone but dont let them respond.

you have somthing to say to me or about me my email has remained the same as its been for years : bladecutlery@comcast.net

Cheers, Allan Blade

Why aren't you using your bladeblade account? If you forgot your password click the "forgot password" button and the system will email you a new password.

Allan, it's good to see that you are still making an effort to make good on what you owe. I'll leave it at that for the time being.

By the way, you haven't been banned from this forum for over 2 1/2 years.
