I had a reaction similar to SIFU1A's, when I first read your comments, beef. Something like "What?!?! Where's this guy been, hiding under a rock?" Then it occurred to me that perhaps you hadn't been aware of Allan Blade's reputation when you ordered and what you meant by "I just naturally assumed that I would get what I ordered" referred to before you found out. So I kept my piece ;).
 
Beef, now that you know about this forum, I hope that in the future when you are thinking about purchasing a knife from a maker you are not familiar with, that you will check here first.
 
wow - this post is now past 1600 replies! This must be approaching a record, right? Unfortunately, it's not a good record to say the least!

Just a sad state of affairs. Hope all involved have their issues resolved in a satisfactory fashion

Of course Keith, I do wish I had been aware of this forum before ordering. The main reason I ordered from Blade is that both on British Blades and Bushcraftuk his knives had been arriving on time and customers had been giving glowing reports.
It was only afterwards that I learned about the problems.

This is a perfect example of why, in my opinion, it was a bad call on Martyn@BB's part to supress discussion of Allan Blade on the BritishBlades site. I understand his reasoning--I just don't agree with it. (And that's all I'm going to say on that point, as Martyn@BB can no longer defend himself here.)

Sorry to hear you got singed, beef, but at least you didn't get burned to the ground :).

Because he came here and acted like an ass. He made his bed, let him sleep in it. And I'm not saying anything about the rest of the users at BB as I'm sure they are fine people but Martyn IMHO is not.

I have access to Lexis-Nexis http://www.lexisnexis.com/?a=g. If someone can give me his true name and date of birth, I will run a credit check and post all of his contact information, relatives, addresses, etc.
I have some friends from my old unit who live in Washington state.
The problem will be solved one way or the other.
 
In-blade, the name that he is going by is Allan Blade.

You should be very careful about what you post on a public forum. If something criminal happens to Allan Blade and he has read your post, that could lead to you being investigated. Even if you had nothing to do with what happened, it could end up being a major pain in the butt.
 
Probably about the same as what he owed (money and knives) as it was two Months ago!!!

I wonder how many "paid" knives are still outstanding on BB. Has there been any word on that forum concerning the mass refund Alan promised?

Why don't you start a thread asking that same question over there? (If your ears can stand the sonic boom caused by the speed of Martyn locking the thread.)

Martyn wpuld probably delete my new thread and definately ban me for I am a windowlicker!!!:jerkit: Furthermore, any thread with the slightest reminder of how badlly Alan Blade scammed several on BB will probably cause martyn to suffer the "I told you so syndrome".:p

I was just curious and wanted to hear what I already knew; Joe Chen is not the only member of the Alan Blade lies to me constantly club and now said club is International......................
