Thanks guys. Cam, I do those fullers by hand with an angle grinder, hence why they look a little rough. But, you work with what you got.

Just finished polishing this one. Blue dyed stabilized maple burl handle scales, nearly 16" OAL, 1095 steel (3/16" thick, I think). What do you think: Leather or kydex sheath?

That looks incredible my friend.

mmmm, me likey :D

you should see how the kami's in nepal do fullers.

in the past they were forged. then someone said "hey, you can grind that crap out and polish the rest :>"

hah

Gotta love it:

I prefer kydex to leather myself, but that one would prolly look great with leather.

If you need someone to test it out for ya, id fit it in my schedule just for you ;)

Nice one, cf! You're work keeps getting better and better.

Bladite, if I lived about 1200 miles closer, I would offer to help you. I need a few days of good outside labor.

the hard part is saving $$$ for equipment :>

hauling the wood is muscle burning effort - it's my gym

splitting it up? pleasure

i have to run the SUPER TORQUE chainsaw to buck the other stuff up, with the "smart wood stand" makes that pretty efficient.

the real help is in drinking beers around a fire :D

Id help too if i could play with some blades :D

as it turns out, the kind of wood processing i do, knives are ... useless.

at a minimum, something like a zomstro for small limbing, and axe though, is the way to go.

loppers (bypass and anvil (those cool aluminum ones)) for turning branches into kindling (batoning? tehy ghey

chainsaw. nice.

blades, lol :D

No zomstro... But i got a new war sword.

Im retarded.... I just realized this entire time i have had a 1095 blade in 9" brand new put away for months....

Well these tan scales that came with my 15 have under went yet another transformation... first they were dyed, then dyed again, aged, then the dye was stripped out, sanded, and well now... I decided I had never stippled anything before, why not?

Talk about grip... GEEESH.... lol

and on a side note... I also fixed my printer tonight.

:D

Office space style, I LIKE IT :D

It is hard to explain the satisfaction that comes from using a powerful saw with a sharp chain.

Sounds to me like you are living the good life. I am happy for you.

Drinking beer around a fire you say?

I would be happy to do that, too.:D

Thanks man, it is really a sweet blade, its fast in the hand as well, which i didnt expect. It balanced right at the plunge line and moves quick. It would make a good "fighter" i think.

Still id rather have a bk9 in kydex than both the bottom 2. Im not a big fan of the rubber type handles. Im not a fan of scrpayards res-c handles either.

The ontario sp8 was the best Batoning knife i ever used until I got my chopweiler, The SP8 will tear a soft wood baton up in a second but still it splits wood like no ones business. so it was well loved, but the handle wasnt loved at all. Still its the knife my wife likes to use on firewood. It has a nice kydex made for it and she loves that knife. When we are out sometimes she wants to give some chopping a try as well and i let her try the other knives of mine but she just likes that ontario the most really.

The bowie is sweet, i like having it, but id like having another BK9 more.

I honestly think I like my LHB more than the 9; blasphemy, I know...
