German made, USA Hickory...looks like it'll split lignum vitae in one swing. Jawol! Specs, please.

That's a big picture, though, and I thought I was the only one doing that....I guess that's mod privilege.

My wife said the same thing, but she said 10,000 LMAO

And it would definitely be shipped directly to you, otherwise i take the chance of liking it to much and needing one myself!!

The other one Id let you try out if you wanted, but im keeping that one FOREVER. When I retire it from use ill hang it on my wall with the letter of authenticity.

whut?

You're all correct! Look, everybody has a system. Mine's just a little complicated.

I'm with ya, brother. Whatever works!

Might as well use some of the sick leave I have saved up, no point in dragging myself in or getting anyone else sick.

You're right. Last time I had a real job and needed antibiotics, they wouldn't let me come back work until the doc said it was OK.

Sleep for 14 HOURS?

Id be good for a month :D

Looks like i will be calling it quits on the computer early tonight, I was sent a few arrows so i could play with my new recurve, and im going to put together a target in my basement

I got about 28-30 feet straight shot down there, i use to shoot my slingshots down there all the time. But obviously 30 feet isnt enough for a bow, but hell i have had it for weeks just teasing me and now that i have a few arrows im not waiting another 24 hours to shoot it.

I got hundreds of used cardboard boxes, literally hundreds, I picked them up a while ago from a uhual store that was closing down. for 10 bucks i got all they had, some were in rough shape, some i have used to ship packages, most i use to cut up and test knives... But im going to stack a bunch wide and thick, back it with a box full of crushed aluminum cans right up to the brick wall and play around at 10 yards lol.

No glove, no tab, no arm guard, inside recurve shooting...... what could go wrong??? LMAO

When I was heavily into archery (pre-screwed up shoulder days), I would make my own targets using compressed cardboard. Take 2 2x6s or 2x8s about 3 feet long. drill holes 3-4 inches in from the ends on each board. Using all-thread rods from Home Depot or Lowes, put a nut and a washer on the rods, run them through the holes in one of the boards. stack 6 or 8 inch wide cardboard strips on the 2-by up to however high you want to go and then slip the rods through the holes in the other board and tighten down good and tight with another set of washers and nuts. Add a couple of 2x4s to the bottom board for 'feet' and the target is self-standing and pretty stable. The compressed cardboard is tight enough to stop arrows shot from 60-80# pull bows (until shot out - then you just loosen and move the cardboard strips around and re-tighten the bolts). relatively cheap. can be made with a hand saw, a drill with a bit, a wrench and a utility knife. The hardest part is collecting/cutting all the cardboard strips. You have all the cardboard and a bunch of knives. :)

Thats a great idea ZZ, easy and cheap the perfect combination!!!

Thanks for that info!! I do believe i will be doing this very soon!

Wait... Do i make a frame?

Ok if i use 2 boards, one on the front of the cardboard, and one on the back, the cardboard tightened between them with the bolts and nuts.. Does this go on the top or the bottom... Does the cardboard have a top frame or basically am i making a clamp with the boards at the bottom connected to feet and the cardboard is free standing from the support on the bottom?
