Got a cortisone injection in my spine (L5) Friday, seemed OK...and I'm NOT suggesting this is related, but had to get ambulanced to the ER Sunday night due to my left leg feeling as if my sciatic nerve was imploding. Wife said I looked like I was giving birth...now both feet are tingling and at my appt. w/ the neurosurgeon today, he thought that I might have a (n unrelated to my herniated disc) clot in my right calf, so...back to the emergency room for more testing. Good news, no clot. Still tingly in the feet and pain in the legs, but I think the cortisone is working because my back doesn't hurt anymore. Still don't know what the eff is going on with the right leg, but the left one that was giving me problems seems better. Not bitching mind you, glad to still be conscious and breathing and able to take myself to the bathroom.Man Tendinitis is a bear brother. Got it in my rotator cuff after the surgery ..lol cant catch a break. BUT today I got a sexy sexy cortisone shot in the rotator cuff to stop the issue YAY! Have they tried shots on you yet man ?
Sorry, long story. Get the cortisone shot, Gus. At least you Canadians have your healthcare system figured out. Everyone I've talked to that's had them (usually 3 over the course of a couple months) has no regrets. Tendinitis is hard to overcome if you can't get the inflammation calmed down, which is really difficult to do if you lead a regular life...you know, working and doing stuff. My $.02 (and sob story). Good luck, gentlemen.
