Am I Broken?

Pretty much sums it up... Definitely still love 'em, and scrolling through the knife porn was in and of itself worth it... It's just that none "spoke to me" if you will...

As for the price, $600 give or take, I definitely have wiggle room, and as for narrowing "what I want", if I knew what I wanted I'd have bought it already. Every site I searched, litterally a dozen and then some, both custom and production, I searched "all knives" in descending price, and I started really paying attention at around the $1500 range, fixed, folders, autos, tradionals, and I saw the Shiro's and Rocksteads, Busse's etc., and I saw a ton of gorgeous and amazing knives, but none jumped off the page to say, "TAKE ME NOW!" $600, (give or take), that is just my own personal comfort zone... The more it goes over $1000, the more it would likely become a safe queen, and I don't want a safe queen, as I currently have none That I don't/won't carry... It would suck losing a $600 knife, it would suck twice as much losing a $1200 knife, after that, I don't even want to entertain the idea of how much it would suck... Lord knows I am far from rich...

Blade show had crossed my mind, but under the current circumstances, and other schedules & obligations, it's just not a very realistic option to travel to GA in June this year...

I should probably take @axtalan0 's advice, and just get out while I can, but I fear it is just a temporary contentment. I've handled enough knives now to know what I like, I own enough knives to tackle nearly any situation between suit & tie affairs to path clearing in the wilderness, and all points in between, but something will come along at some point and grab my pair for me...

I think I shall just start a seperate fund, just for knife shopping, since it seems at least for now the "impulse" buying is gone... That way when it returns, or I do stumble across "the one", or make it to Blade show maybe next year? I'll have a much bigger budget of disposable funds to splurge with...

Definitely appreciate the dialogue though. Even the assumptions of my relationship being broken, they gave me a good chuckle...
Just do what I did. I told myself that I was not going to buy any more knives this year and focus on using what I have and working on my sharpening....

I'm up to 6 new knives.... I don't know what happened...

I'm kinda in the same boat. I've bought a lot of knives this year already and now I look at knives and don't see anything I want except for the CKF Decepticon but finding one is a challenge and when I do find one it's $2000 or more.

I just think your "out of gas" right now. Theres really nothing new different or great on the market right now seems like everythings at a standstill.Save your money for now and if something comes along, then get it,no need to get something just to buy....
