Take my name off the list. I had to buy a new computer and that has sucked up the money I had planned for this knife... shirt happens :(

Here is (grabbed from the mckf forum) a new picture of the three knives in their anodised titanium handles:

I ordered the bronze one :)
 
Looking back at that picture I see now that it's a high hollow grind. One of my favorites.

I wonder will there be any marking by the maker on the blade? Thanks.

This is only a quick photoshop I made I made from this picture. So I must warn everybody not to be be too fixated on the details in the above picture, as I currently don't know if it will indeed look exactly like that.

I made it to have a better idea of how the different models would look like, but it is perfectly possible that for example the thumbstuds and pivot will also be colored.
 
Next week will be ready the final pictures with all the details.
Everything is decided and done... I need a couples of days to take the professional pictures.
 
that is a great looking folder. Looks like a lot of cool innovations. I would love one, that i sfor sure.
 
To keep people here informed, I will post a quick overview of what I've read on the Italian forum.

There has been contact between the makers and Rick Hinderer, and they have discussed everything.
Everything is solved know, and they will place an announcement on different forums(so also here I presume) to give more details.
I myself don't know every detail, and my Italian is lacking so if you want more info about that you will have to wait for official statements from the makers themselves.
Anyhow, it looks like nothing can stop a long lasting collaboration between lionsteel and hinderer now, which to me appears to be the best outcome for everyone.


I will give a quick free translation from gianni's post a the Italian forum:


Here are the first pictures of the definitive knife.

It will be shipped inside a box made of wood.

There will be a tool provided with it, which gives you the possibility to attach of remove to clip. The clip is reversible, so you can choose whether you mount it on the front or the back of the knife.

The tool will also be able to change the smoothness of opening/closing the blade by adjusting the pivot screw.
And it is also usefull when you want to clean the knife thoroughly.

I don't know if and/or when there will be more pictures of the different versions.

Anyhow, I have finalized and payed my order today, because I didn't want to risk being to late with it.
The deadline for the reduced price is only 6 days away. And the information and pictures provided thusfar have been convincing enough for me :)

I remember you are sent an email after your order is chosen. It was written on the website that you will receive an email showing total cost. Remember to register in the website and follow the instructions.

I can't remember specifically if you actually go to your own account because I had too many activity and it is a bit of a haze but I think that it is so.

Did you get the email I displayed above? The order number is a 4 digit code which I replaced with XXXX in the above email.

You can view your order number if you go to the lionsteel website, log on and choose "view your orders". You can see your status if it is "pagamento ok" it means funds have been received. You also can see your four digit code and this is what you use when communicating and referring to your order. Click below and good luck :thumbup:
