Blanks made in El Salvador to Andy's design/approval, and Andy does the handles and edges! That's why they are affordable! Can't wait.

I am not reading through 13 pages to find out why is waiting on the machetes. Doesn't he do everything in house? Did he sub out the machetes for another company to build?

Answer to this question in very first post ;)

I spoke with Andy very briefly yesterday or the day before on the phone. He just picked up the machetes.

Mega awesomeness. You guys are going to love these things. I know I love mine!

I want one myself but the question is what length do I want. I like a 12" but I use and like a 18" better. Green micarta is a must.

As if Andy wasn't workin' his ass off already. Now he's got all these to finish up. If these come out around $100 or so liked he said at the beginning of this thread, he will have no trouble sending these out the door. I don't even need one but I'm thinking about it...

I have the 18" and the 16" and I love the profile of the 16" as a chopper. The 18" seems to be a little more designed towards a balance between chopping and knife-like tasks, making it a great all-'rounder, but I like the little pit of extra forward "oomph" in the 16". Works well in dense, choked brush. :)

I used a the 14 incher prototype that my buddy has a couple weeks ago to harvest our Christmas Tree! Worked great.

Ok...as long as you're sure she's talking about a machete......:p

My 12 machete would be among the very last blades I ever parted with, it is awesome!!

damn you mist now you have me wondering do i need a machete or black mamba :) i guess i will order the FB machete first and hope ( or pray i should say) that is what she wanted cause if its the latter i am not sure i can do much for her :(

we all can't be studs like you and your 12 incher :)

Lol, I'm sure the machete will suit her fine. Damn, must be nice to have a woman who can handle a twelve inch blade. Lisa can do ok with some of my larger blades up to about nine inches, but the bigger ones she never touches. Says she doesn't do chopping, that's what she got me for :)
