Another Giveaway Contest!

Great job! I wish I had palm like that here....wait..that stuff will cut the sheat out of ya. It makes a great shelter though. When I was in Panama for the rotation, we used this plant that looks like Elephant Ears. Of course they don't call it that and I can't remember the local name for it, but it was great. Until you pulled some off and opened up a spider or two/three. We set up a site once and had a glow stick hanging from the entrance. After we got back from a patrol (this was on Empire Range - Post Invasion) A monkey had stolen the glow stick, and every now and then we'd see it flying through the trees. Those little bastages will get into everything.

Anyway, great use of the offerings in the area. Sometimes trash can be a life safer huh? PVC is some great stuff too. I can't tell you how much stuff I've made out of it. I know this is somewhat off topic, but I'll post this so folks can get a bit of an idea.

I made cart from some plumbing PVC and some mower tires. I have one for all three of our Kayaks. The padding for the kayak to rest on is a pool noodle cut to fit. The rod holders are PVC sleeves tied in with zip ties. The Fuzz is not PVC, but she has chewed on some.....

Ok I've gone on too long. Great job. Looks like everyone had fun - shotty not withstanding LOL. Happy Meal....that rocks!

If I could only express to you guys how much of a girly girl she is.:D

She wouldn't even accept my advise, every time I would offer a suggestion, she told me to shut up.


Oh, and hell yes I ate the MRE. Can't let good emergency food go to waste.:D It was all still sealed, they just took the entree out, wastful creatures. It was delicious.:thumbup:

The Mrs. made it so I had to step out of the judging so all I have to say is, let the best man(or woman) win!

:eek: What only ate the entree, the best part of an MRE is opening up the other smaller packs to see if you got lucky and got something good, of course I have never been to fond, in my limited MRE eating experiences, of the crackers and peanut butter.
 
way off topic, but my mom owns a surplus shop. We always have MRE for sale and my favorite MRE entree is the tortalini with red sauce. I hate getting the been burrito, you just cant eat a 10+ year old burrito (but it is still food).
 
Mrs. Shotgunner - congratulations on a fine looking shelter. This time of year in Texas it's important to get the shade and some protection from rain - looks like you addressed both. :thumbup:
 
Thanks everyone! I'm beat today. My arms are killing me! Yet the kids are driving me so nuts I would mind going and desecrating some more trees to take out my frustration! Maybe I should get out the mr's fubar and take it to something.

i didn't smash his phone but i'd love to smash something. got this old laptop.....nah i still use it. maybe that gigantic Barbie??????:confused: must find something!
