I'm really surprised that someone hasn't come up with this. A company (Blade HQ for example) that acts as the middle man in high end knife trades. It would work like this, both parties send there trades to the middle man. He in turns opens, inspects and sends pictures. If both parties are happy he in turns sends out the knives. If not he just sends them back to the original parties.
I bet this would be a big step in preventing fraud.
what you suggested may work for highly valuable items because the middleman should see enough monetary incentive while the two ends are willing to pay, say 5-10% of the trade value. So a trade of $1000 (500 on each side) of knives means $50-100 for the middle guy (excluding shipping etc). If it is a trade of two $100 knives, the middleman may not be interested in that 5-10 dollars.
Did you forget the smiley faces at the the end of that post counselor???
😁😁😁
I figured the readers would supply their own mental emoji of choice!
So it would appear the the owner of the nightstalker1975@yahoo.com email address (James Hurrey) has made a change and edited the name of the account holder out. There is an old saying goes something like, "Those with nothing to hide, have nothing to fear".
Is knifehunt going to be banned and why has it not happened yet?
I am certainly not taking up for Knifehunt but if you read the second screenshot in post #61 he says he does not want the Strider since the holes in the handle void the warranty. Seems like he changed his mind after agreeing to the trade, due to additional information, so maybe he will send it back????
FTW, I have not had any transactions with either of the parties and it certainly does not condone his actions on other forums...

Possibly another slight twist to this story. The mention of holes in the handle rang a bell and I checked a USN thread I remembered. 01Bushcrafter asked, ? legit or not about a strider with holes in the handle on 1/19/16.He said the owner had said the holes were done by Strider. The knife was determined to be legit, but the holes are aftermarket. He said he was going to pass on the knife. I looked up the profile of 01Bushcrafter and it is a Kelley Sylvia of Cape Cod, Ma.
Coincidence-you be the judge
Man what a read this played out like a dick Tracy comic and a game of clue all wrapped up in one.
