Another scammer?

Wow, just wow. I just read the whole thread and I cannot believe what I read. It really was like reading a book or watching a tv show on scammers.

Now I'm wondering if the Strider SNG I received from Knifehunt for my WC Zaan was obtained through a scam. I might not be able to look at it the same again.

Unfortunately, our post-service track the packages to Ukrainian border only. After that I can`t to track my package. It`s my country...:(

I want to thank you Wolfsnagel for sticking to your guns and bringing out a fraud. I know it wasn't easy with people attacking you at first, good for you man. Please don't think less of anyone that took knifehunts side at the beginning. I've been there and supported that man before he showed his true self and he made a fool of me too. This guy is good and been doing this for a while and knows to get good people on his side before he strikes. It's not their fault we all got taken buy Mike even the people that didn't lose any knives or money. We believed in him and he screwed us all.
Have a good day everybody and keep an eye out.

Well, I just received a nasty email from a member, and this was my response:

Did I scam you? NO. I sent your knife back because you never received the ones I sent to you (so you say) but I can't prove it. As for 14er's he sent me two knives that he said were new, and they were not, and they were sent back as well. Tech never even made a trade with me, and any pics I sent were knives I owned. The other two guys I don't even remember who they were that said they didn't receive the knives I sent jumped on the band wagon. For people to come on and say I'm a scammer, and have scammed a dozen or more people is a bunch of bull. All the people that responded were never scammed by me, and the knife was returned because it was NOT as described.

Everyone jumps on the bandwagon and it turns into a witch hunt. As far as the guy on bladeforums, I never received anything from him, and the tracking proves it. If and when it arrived it will go back. I'm absolutely done doing any online trading on any knife forums.

Yes, The Strider will go back when and if it shows.

And for the record... I do have many health issues, and have the documentation to prove such.

For people to say I'm some big time scammer, and have scammed a dozen or more people, is pure bull. Just because I made a few deals, and the knives were not as described, and sent back does not make me a scammer. Anyone who has dealt with me has received better then described items, and has received them.

Again, If and when the Strider shows, it will be going back and wolfsnagle will be notified via email.

I am done trading selling or buying any more knives online. This is my final post on BF and I will not respond anymore to this thread.

Well your first response to this topic was that you had no idea who this guy was and had never owned the knife that was offered up as a trade. Then you come up with some email phising crap as an excuse. I believe it's very obvious to everyone now that you made a deal with this guy. If you weren't trying to scam him, then why didn't you come in here and explain your actions instead of denying them. Your word means absolutely nothing now, and you have yourself to blame for that.

Getting called out for scamming on Bladeforums is kind of like backing into a hornet's nest, when you are pruning bushes. Unfortunately, there will be others trying similar stunts, in the future.

whos' going to do all that unpaid and massive use of valuable time consuming work?

we already have something that does that already, it's called google. it's easy to google someone and find out what lies out there on them. no need to reinvent the wheel.

Quite possibly the same people who spend a MASSIVE amount of their valuable time putting up thousands of posts in the forum.
It takes quite literally 15 seconds to add a name and address to a list.

People spend ten times that searching for, and posting up scat pictures in W&C.
Then again, those pics are far more useful than a sticky of scumbag scammers...

The thing is you can't just add names to a list, there has to be documented proof that they were a scammer. It takes a lot of work by the Mods to confirm that the name and info associated with it actually belong to a scammer, and they have enough on their plates already. The best we can do is have a thread in GBU for each one that will show up in google searches and forum searches alike.

It takes less time to do a google search than to read through a list of scammers to see if a name is on there or not.

Sidenote, those in W&C do that for fun, while compiling and moderating a list would be another job for the mods; there's a big difference between doing something for fun and doing it for work. You wouldn't compare the 8 hours a day spent at work to the 8 hours a night spent playing video games.

True. Imagine what we all could do with the allotted time our creators have given us. We can put a man on the moon and a probe outside our solar system. We can split the atom. I choose to work when i must and play when i can.

I do my own due diligence by searching through the forums and post history. I dont put anyone on ignore, so i created a word doc with a list of scammers and other people i choose not to deal with for various reasons. Its worked reasonably well so far.

I'm really surprised that someone hasn't come up with this. A company (Blade HQ for example) that acts as the middle man in high end knife trades. It would work like this, both parties send there trades to the middle man. He in turns opens, inspects and sends pictures. If both parties are happy he in turns sends out the knives. If not he just sends them back to the original parties.
I bet this would be a big step in preventing fraud.

A sort of escrow for knives.

Nobody wants to pay the middleman fees, otherwise it may work. In fact, go ahead and send me your trades and for $99.88 I will inspect and photograph the knives :)

Internet knife trading is about as safe as its gonna get. I have a small group of people that I trade with and I won't deviate from that group. We all know one another personally and everyones word is their bond.

If you're gonna make a trade with someone you don't know you're taking a chance but as the saying goes "nothing ventured, nothing gained".

And this is exactly why this scam works. Trade with a guy in far off foreign country who speaks a different language. The victim has no recourse and the scammer is only risking his reputation.

I will act as the escrow agent for all future trades. Both parties please send me your knives. You can trust me, I'm a lawyer.

A reputation any scammer couldn't care less for Cray. Means nothing to them.
