Another scammer?

whos' going to do all that unpaid and massive use of valuable time consuming work?

we already have something that does that already, it's called google. it's easy to google someone and find out what lies out there on them. no need to reinvent the wheel.
 
That wouldn't have found knifehunt aka Michael Sylvia would it? But a cross forum list made into a sticky would go a long way. Some one could volunteer to compile a list...

All you need to do is run their screen name through a search here in the gdu and any negative threads will come up. Everyone should be doing this before entering into any transaction with anyone. It is one of the most basic ways to protect yourself.

And for the record... I do have many health issues, and have the documentation to prove such.


For people to say I'm some big time scammer, and have scammed a dozen or more people, is pure bull. Just because I made a few deals, and the knives were not as described, and sent back does not make me a scammer. Anyone who has dealt with me has received better then described items, and has received them.

Again, If and when the Strider shows, it will be going back and wolfsnagle will be notified via email.


I am done trading selling or buying any more knives online. This is my final post on BF and I will not respond anymore to this thread.

So then, you did agree to a trade with wolfguy, and you did have correspondence with him?

Your pathalogical Mike, you have issues man and should seek some help buddy. With all the evidence against you, your still on here trying to cover your tracks. If there is anybody out there that believes a word that comes out of your mouth I feel sorry for them. You clearly made a trade with this man and didn't send your end of the deal. Just like you did with me and many others. Seek help buddy. You knew going into our trade one knife was new and one was used. You opened the still sealed paperwork from AS and said there was no certificate of authenticity but I have a hard time believing AS sent the envelope without it. You make trades, wait for people to send their end. Play with their knives for a week and then decide if you want to hold up your end of the bargain. If anybody is ever unhappy with a trade from me I would gladly trade back because people are more important to me than possessions. The fact is you never held up your end of the deal, not with me or countless other people I know of. You've been ripping people off and playing games for years and it's time you grow up, get some help and treat people with the respect they deserve. Get a life buddy and your not fooling anyone. You'll be back doing the same thing tomorrow because your like a crackhead and just can't stop scamming people. It's a disease and you need help. I'm sorry I ever stood up for you, I feel like such a fool. It's always the same story.... I have health issues. I don't believe a word you say. And if you really do have that many health issues it's probably karma for the way you treat people.

Oh and by the way, I have contact with someone who you think is a close friend of yours. Lives real close to you. He contacted me and told me he personally has witnessed you scamming people in this nature. And he apologized to me for having to put up with you. How does that feel buddy, someone close to you telling me how you play games. Careful who you play with, we all have friends.

It's not your fault. It's a way a scammer can conduct scams for longer periods of time undetected or unchallenged. When one person comes along with a complaint all the people that had a great deal with them will come to defense. Who knows? Maybe all the USA based trading and selling he didn't scam, and knew overseas ripping people off would carry no legal consequences. Wouldn't surprise me at all if that's what he has been doing. I know his reaction here was not one from someone who was innocent or a victim but I didn't want to jump on him right out of the gate. I know as the day's go on the thread would produce alot more information.

At this point, I don't think this should be a question anymore. The emails included in the screenshots that wolfguy provided contain details like the age and medical conditions that seem to coincide with what knifehunt has just said.

You are right. It wouldn't have helped much. The problem with finding scammers is that there is always at least one scam they pull that has little to no warning, the first one. And this one appears to be the first one here. Now, he clearly had problems in other places with which a cross forum list would help with but it would take a lot of work to create and maintain, cross forum politics would certainly be an issue as well. Using google is another great resource. I was able to connect Michael Sylvia to the name knifecraft on an old bushcraft usa post. Still of little help if you don't know knifecraft is a scammer.

One other thing. Here in the GB&U when you look at knifehunt's posts, he gets into some nasty personal arguments. Lots of people do that though (certainly not me). The thing is, some of knifehunts spats were about deals gone wrong, not just opinions and other drama. The fight with Scrim in particular was very nasty. That right there was a red flag for both of them in my mind.

Still, this is a hard one to have seen coming.

wolfsnagel - I don't know how the post/mail system works in your country but is it possible for you to continue to track a package after it leaves your country? Also, sometimes international packages may take a longer time than expected to reach the destination. Just FYI, not that I am defending knifehunt.
 
Yea maintaining the cross forum list would be difficult. Definitely some hurdles to over come before, if ever it comes to fruition.

Due to the nature of scammers it is inherently difficult to pick up on them before they strike. Yea I missed the deal with knifehunt and scrim, if you feel like it shoot me a pm with what the gist of it was.

Unfortunately, our post-service track the packages to Ukrainian border only. After that I can`t to track my package. It`s my country...:(
 
About scammer`s list: I will see tomorrow on big russian weapons and blades forum how it works there.
I need go.
